This is it! TGW is back after an unscheduled break and yes, there are many questions as to where we have been and tonight I can only assume we will get some answers. I am Stan Brooks, your online recapper and I'm excited to be here tonight. We have 3 great matches set for our return. AJ Adams and Russell Franchise are going one on one in a no disqualification match where anything can and will happen. I can only imagine how ready these two men are to face off.
For those that have been out of the loop, TGW's Volitionary Champion Jessica Blake has been missing for a little over 2 months now. Authorities have no lead other than the kidnapper, her ex Reno King. If you have seen him please call your local authorities. In her absence her best friend and team mate, Alyson Starr, is representing her in any title matches that may be made.
Tonight's main event will feature two promising new stars in TGW. Chris Maddox and King Hunter will look to win in the debut match and impress. Each had select words for each other over the past week and it's time to see who can back it up.
“U + UR Hand” by Pink starts to play over the speakers and the fans in attendance give a mixed reaction of cheers and boos as Alli Taylor walks out to the stage. She waves and just brushes off the select boos that follow her around no matter what. She reaches the top of the ramp as her music dies down and she starts to speak.
Alli Taylor: ”I wanted to come out here tonight to just clear up a few points before we get underway. There have been questions as to why TGW stopped production for 2 months. I could come out here and tell you it's because of the economy, building issues, I could pretty much feed you anything and just run with it. The truth is it was a mixture of two things; the contract fallouts of French Montana and someone who's name I will never mention on TGW television. After the contract disputes with these two men the legal department started to look into all of the contracts. Mine, the rest of the staff, referees, our TV contracts, and it hindered what we could do.
The last time we were on air you heard that TGW star and Volitionary Champion Jessica Blake had been kidnapped. Over the past 2 months they have been doing interviews with the talent, staff, and the founder Wade Mason. For those that don't know, Mason and Blake are...close. During this time we were advised to not enter the arena as a search was conducted. As far as where Wade is tonight, myself and the rest of the board thought it would be best for him to stay at home and attain to person matters until things are ok. So that means, I am in total control of TGW until he returns.”
There is a large boo from the crowd as Taylor smiles and turns to the backstage area and walks off camera. A few “Mason” chants ensue before dying down as we set for our first match of the night.
AJ Adams Vs. Russell Franchise
Adams and Franchise stand in the middle of the ring and the crowd is up on their feet as cheers and chants start up for both men. “Let's Go A-Game!” and “A-J Ad-ams!” going back and forth as they stand toe to toe. Franchise begs for Adams to strike first, putting his chin out as the fans urge Adams on. Adams turns to the crowd and Franchise grabs his shoulder and spins him around and we are off! Both men erupt with lefts and rights as they battle to gain the upper hand. Franchise drops Adams with a hard left but walks right into a drop toe hold. Adams pops to his feet as Franchise rolls to his. They lock up and each try to suplex the other before breaking the hold. Adams steps back and connects with a step up enziguri. Adams locks in a single leg Boston crab but Franchise is able to reach the ropes to break the hold. Franchise rolls out of the ring and Adams sizes him up and runs off the opposite ropes. Adams flies over the top but Franchise moves and Adams crashes into the floor and barricade. Franchise pulls Adams to his feet and tosses him into the ring stairs, knocking them ajar.
Adams holds his shoulder and it appears he may have landed on it hard from the jump. The fans are cheering on Franchise as he pulls Adams back up and calls for a Franchise Tag onto the stairs! Adams starts to battle out and lands a hard knee to the gut before sliding back into the ring. The referee asks Adams if he wants to continue and here comes Franchise. Adams ducks a clothesline and hits a back body drop with one arm. Both men are quick to their feet and Franchise takes Adams down with a hard shoulder block and starts to work on the injured shoulder with hard kicks. Franchise locks in the Blowout and applies pressure on the shoulder! Adams screams in pain but refuses to give up.
Adams pushes on his feet and reaches out for the ropes, just fingertips away. Franchise rolls Adams over to his stomach and locks in a modified armbar, putting his weight on the injured left shoulder of Adams. Adams tries to get his knee under himself and attempt to gain leverage. Franchise yells at Adams to just give up and the referee gets down to check on Adams who appears to be out cold from the pain. The referee calls for the bell!
Winner: Russell Franchise [Submission]
Franchise lets go of the hold and starts yelling for answers out of Adams who is unresponsive. Franchise kicks the air and leaves the ring as we can see Adams peeking up and watching Franchise leave, smiling. The A Game turns back around and Adams plays dead once more.
In the backstage area we see Alli Taylor singing paperwork in her office, being approached by TGW's reporter Kirsten Shelley.
Kirsten Shelley: ”Ms. Taylor, may I ask you a few questions?”
Alli Taylor: ”Of course, just make it quick.”
Shelley sits down and makes herself comfortable.
Kirsten Shelley: ”I thought I'd give you the time and chance to explain what is going to happen with the TGW Title now that we've returned, or even details on the next pay per view, anything.”
Alli Taylor: ”So not really a question, more of you wondering for the sake of the fans. I can assure you that all matters will be handled over the next few weeks. I'm not going to announce a tournament for the title without guarantee that we will have the talent to be able to support what the title deserves. It's really a matter of us getting our bearings set and building a foundation, unlike Wade Mason I will not rush to name a champion. It's time someone held this title that actually earned it, deserved it. AJ Adams is the only former champion on the roster, that's not to say he isn't or wasn't a worthy champion but he didn't EARN the title. He played the system, just like David Blazenwing did, just like Quaranta took an opportunity. None of the champions worked and earned the title.
As far as the next pay per view and any ideas that come with it, those will be released in the coming weeks. Yes, TGW is a business in the aspect of we need to sell to sponsors, to make money off of PPV profits, all of that. The difference between Mason and I is I'm not going to keep the numbers at the top of my list. How many times did you see him sitting behind a desk and focused on paperwork? He was here almost every day of the week working behind the scenes. Great for a business and to make money, not so great for our fans. Yeah I'll have things I need to attend to but you'll see me out and interacting with the fans, the staff, and being hands on and aware. It's time TGW grew to the company I know it can be, starting now it's a new day Ms. Shelley.”
Roland Dunkirk Vs. Alyson Starr
Starr locks up with the newcomer Dunkirk to start the match. She spins him around and lands a few elbows to the side of the head, trying to daze her opponent. Starr hits the ropes and dives, looking for a crossbody but is caught. Dunkirk drops her with a capture suplex and flows into an inverted STF, the hold quickly broken as Starr was near the ropes. Both competitors are to their feet as the newcomer flips Starr down with an armdrag into a grapple on the mat. Starr connects with a few back elbows to knock Dunkirk off as she reaches her feet. Starr seems to be getting frustrated and rakes the eyes of her opponent as the referee gives her a warning, she jumps up and connects with a hurricanrana in the middle of the ring. She eyes the turnbuckle but Dunkirk starts to stir, climbing to his feet.
Starr charges and is caught, Dunkirk dropping her with a uranage backbreaker as the fans wince. He pulls her back to her feet and hits a Russian leg sweep. Starr reaches for the middle rope and starts to pull herself to her feet. Dunkirk sends her into the corner and misses a big splash! Starr jumps to the top rope and looks for a missle dropkick. Dunkirk moves and Starr hits the mat hard and is put into a cloverleaf submission hold! She's in the middle of the ring and taps to avoid injury.
Winner: Roland Dunkirk [Submission]
Dunkirk lets go of the hold and simply rolls out of the ring. “"Break me! Break me! Give me everything you got!", screams Dunkirk to the camera.
Have you checked out TGW Online recently? Here is something you may have missed in the past week!
Honestly, the TGW title is mine already, there’s just a few obstacles blocking me from actually possessing it, like Wade Mason not scheduling the title match yet, and the title still being locked up at the TGW headquarters. But rest assured, Wade, I’m not upset about either one of those obstacles, in fact I’ve been on the phone with a few guys talking about designing a new TGW Championship belt to be worn by yours truly. Because I’ll be damned if I tarnish myself and my legacy by possessing the same title that was held by nobodies like French Montana, AJ Adams, and a few other low-lives that no one can remember. King Hunter Vs. Chris Maddox
It's time for tonight's main event and it will be a double debut match. Both men are looking to prove that they are the next big thing in TGW but only one will be victorious tonight.
Maddox and Hunter each stand in opposite corners as the bell rings to start the match. Maddox plays up the crowd a little big, taunting at Hunter. The two men lock up and each try to gain an advantage using pure strength but don't get far. Maddox puts his opponent in a headlock and takes him down. Maddox wrenches the neck before pulling Hunter to his feet. Hunter breaks the hold and sends Maddox off the ropes and meets him with a shoulder block before running off the ropes. Maddox pops to his feet and ducks a clothesline and pulls Hunter down with a reverse DDT. Maddox starts to attempt a camel clutch but Hunter is able to shake him off.
The fans are abuzz in the back and forth action as both men start to exchange lefts and rights. Hunter blasts Maddox with a hard right and connects with a shortarm clothesline. Maddox rolls to his feet and is hit with a forearm and is speared into the nearest turnbuckle. Hunter starts to land left and right chops to the chest of his opponent but the 'King' starts to fight back. Hunter looks for another clothesline but Maddox ducks and comes back with a spinning heel kick to the forehead! Hunter starts to stand and Maddox is off the middle ropes looking for a springboard crossbody but he is caught! Hunter connects with a fallaway slam and covers. 2!
Maddox kicks out and jumps to his feet and locks up with Hunter. Hunter flows behind his opponent and looks for a German suplex but Maddox hooks the leg and starts to battle out. He connects with a hard back elbox and spins around, lifting Hunter and dropping him with a fireman's suplex. Maddox runs off the ropes and Hunter looks up and is hit with a hard shining wizard as the fans let out a collective “Ooooooh” as Hunter falls backwards. Maddox starts to lock in the Plan B (Anaconda Vice) but Hunter tries to battle out and starts to swing and pulls himself to the ropes. The referee forces the break as Maddox backs up. Hunter climbs up and rolls his shoulders.
Maddox steps forward and walks into a kick to the gut, Hunter setting up the God's Bomb. Maddox lifts him and hits a backdrop. Hunter is up and is blasted with a superkick! Hunter falls backwards and spins to a knee, dizzing and trying to regain his composure. Maddox approaches and hits the Maddox Effect and covers! 1...2...3!
Winner: Chris Maddox [Pinfall]
Maddox seems shocked and so is Hunter as he rolls out of the ring and sits against the barricade as the fans pat his shoulders in support for the new comer. The fans cheering both men on in a great showing and as someone who's seen everyone come and go in this company these two men can really make it to the top. Maddox leans against the ropes and the attention is turned to the stage as AJ Adams walks out, arm in a sling. He points down to Maddox and offers a small clap before his face turns into a snarl.
It doesn't seem as if AJ Adams is a fan of Chris Maddox. All three men share glances as Adams starts to walk to the ring but stops about half way and turns around, Russell Franchise yelling down to him. Franchise stands at the top of the stage and everyone feels the tension rise as we fade to black!
