Kick it off
This week's edition of Animosity started off with the same TGW cut scene from last week before the cameras flashed backstage to the parking lot of the TGW Arena as a long black limo pulled into the garage area. The fans buzzed with curiosity as to who could be inside as the cameras got closer. The camera man began to walk towards the back to scope the license plate, as we could see TRU GLRY across the California plates. The camera spun around to see the driver opening the door as Wade Mason stepped out and adjusted his tie. He then shut the door and made his way backstage as we went ringside.
We were welcomed to the show by Scott Parker and Todd Evans who began the usual rundown of the upcoming matches and we started the night off with Ja-Gi Kyung Moon taking on Harvey Clayton.
Ja-Gi Kyung Moon Vs. Harvey Clayton
This week, Clayton appeared much more out of it as he stumbled into the ring as JAGI looked out puzzled. As the referee rang the bell to start the match, Clayton charged with an attempted spear, but JAGI met him with a knee the the temple. Clayton staggered backwards as JAGI charged and slide between the legs his opponent, following it up a forearm to the back of the head, then another! The fans were unsure who to cheer for as the crowd was almost split pro-JAGI and pro-Harvey, just because of who they were up against. Clayton swung his arm around and JAGI ducked the blow, followed up with a jawbreaker.
Though Harvey stumbled backwards, he did not fall to his feet. JAGI began to use a series of kicks and punches to try and wear down Harvey. After a few shots, JAGI sent himself off the rope and looked for a running dropkick. Harvey was more alert than anyone thought and sidestepped the charging JAGI. Harvey was quick to pull Harvey to his feet and right back down to the mat with a spinebuster. At this point the fans were mainly pro-JAGI, boo'ing Harvey as he taunted them.
Instead of capitalizing on the move, Harvey seemed focused on yelling at a fan ringside, allowing JAGI to regain his energy and get to his feet. The Asian Sexsation waited for Harvey to begin turning around as he jumped off the second rope and hit a springboard crossbody! JAGI and the fans were surprised when the move only got him two, but JAGI quickly got to his feet. Harvey slowly followed and walked right into a swinging neckbreaker, and then JAGI flowed into the Hopeless Romantic! The referee called for the bell after about 20 second of Harvey wailing his arms around before finally seeming to pass out.
Winner: Ja-Gi Kyung Moon
As Parker and Evans recapped the match, we got a look at the building feud between JAGI and Russell Franchise with a video clip. After the clip ended, we went backstage to Franchise who was standing by Kirsten Shelley ready to interview him. Franchise seemed to push a few more of JAGI's buttons and said he didn't care what Ja-Gi did. He told the fans he would keep his folder and carry gold in just a few short weeks. Jared Light Vs. Camisado Vs. Xaria Linette
The following contest was the first of two triple threat matches, this one was newcomer Jared Light, Xaria Linette, and Camisado. Light was the first competitor to stike, by landing a spear on Linette and followed with a fury of punches. Camisado sat up in the corner, waiting for the hold to break. Shortly, the referee called for the break and Light bounced back up. Camisado came flying off the second rope and landed a dropkick as the fans cheered. Camisado turned and a standing elbow drop on Linette, and then tried another. Linette rolled out of the way of the second try and hit Camisado with a drop toe hold. Light came running and jumped, connecting with a jumping knee to Camisado's back!
The fans were buzzing at all the action in the ring as Linette and Light went back at it. They battled back and forth before Camisado stepped back in and separated them with a running crossbody. Camisado jumped to his feet and lifted Linette, sending her up and over the top rope towards the ramp. Camisado turned his attention to Light and landed a few kicks to the midsection. Light charged Camisado and was hit with a back bodydrop, sending him out of the ring and on top of Linette climbing to her feet. Camisado scouted his opponents and went off the far ropes to gain speed, and dove over the ropes and onto Light and Linette with a plancha!
The fans were chanting for Camisado as all three competitors slowly climbed into the ring. Linette slowly was to her feet first as she tried to regain her composure as Camisado was soon to follow. Linette and Camisado exchanged punches with Linette gaining the upper hand. She tried to land the Crescent Strike but as she came down for the jumping hammerfist, Camisado moved and connected with a cravate suplex! He tried for a pin but Light broke it up right at 2.
Light pulled Camisado up and landed a chain of German suplexes, hitting 4 in total. Camisado rolled out of the ring and propped himself up against the ring. Linette was to her feet as Light connected with a T-Bone suplex. He then began to clap, getting the fans behind him. Linette tried to pull herself up to the cheers of the fans but turned right around into a mixture of left and right punches from Light. Light sent her off the ropes and caught her with a modified fisherman's suplex before jumping to his feet. He lifted Linette up and set her up, connecting with The Treat! Camisado was trying to get back into the ring but was too late. Light scored the pinfall victory.
Winner: Jared Light
After the match, Jared Light fell to his knees and threw his arms out as the referee handing him Xaria Linette's folder. Camisado walked over to the announce table and grabbed his folder, telling Parker that Light was a good competitor but that Camisado was smarter, that he had planned on just leaving with his folder and that's all he cared about.
The cameras went backstage to catch Alex Wilkie in his dressing room on the phone. He briefly talked to his agent and said that Wade Mason set out the rules for Wilkie's match, saying if he didn't win he would have no chance at a folder. Check out the segment HERE
Hunter Sullivan Vs. Alex Wilkie
Wilkie was the clear favorite in the match as the fans chanting his name over and over. Hunter Sullivan came at Wilkie fast, trying to trip him up so he could begin to use his submissions. Wilkie grabbed the top ropes and didn't let Sullivan pull him down, then stomped on his foot. Sullivan backed up and readied himself on one foot but was taken out by a flying elbow as Wilkie came running across the ring! Wilkie insulted Sullivan by locking in a half nelson hold and turned it into a German suplex.
With Sullivan on the ground, Wilkie locked in a sharpshooter looking for the submission victory, but had to break the hold after Sullivan crawled to the ropes. The damage was done however because Sullivan was slow to get up. Wilkie came off the ropes and connected with a bulldog as the fans popped. Wilkie threw up a “V for Victory” with his fingers and Sullivan pulled himself up with the ropes. Wilkie spun him around and hit the Grade A Stunner for the win!
Winner: Alex Wilkie
Wilkie paced in the ring as he grabbed a microphone and called out Wade Mason, saying he deserved his shot. Mason gave props to Wilkie but said his road was far from over. Check out the segment, HERE
Backstage, Kaori Shikagami hid her sadness as she paced back and forth as she was approached by Ja-Gi Kyung Moon. JAGI joked around with her and Kaori became more angry than sad. She threatened him as he joked around with her lead pipe. She then started talking about never trusting anyone as JAGI seemed somewhat puzzled and tried to offer some strong words. Kaori walked off in a huff to prepare for her match. Check out the segment HERE
David Blazenwing Vs. Russell Franchise
The following match was scheduled to be David Blazenwing taking on Russell Franchise, but as Franchise stood in the ring, “Stay Alive” by Trapt began to play as Wade Mason made his way to the stage. Mason told Franchise that Blazenwing couldn't make the show and that he had something to make up for it. Mason announced a triple threat match for next week's Animosity involving Franchise, JAGI, and Jared Light in the “Yours or Mine” matches. He also added a special stipulation for the match, a falls count anywhere bout! Franchise smiled in approval as the fans cheered for the announcement.
As Franchise cleared the ring, we went ringside to Todd Evans and Scott Parker who hyped up the match that Wade Mason had just announced for next week. Parker had received word that the reason Blazenwing couldn't make the show was because of missing a flight out, due to his daughter being sick earlier in the week. Evans then touched on the twitter rumors of a big star coming to TGW within the next few weeks but had no idea who it could be.
Lily Haris Vs. America Azuela Vs. Kaori Shikagami
It was time for the main event as all three ladies began to circle each other, Haris and Azuela locking eyes before teaming up to work on Shikagami. Azeula landed a hard right elbow to Shikagami before sending her toward Haris with an Irish whip, meeting her with a flapjack! Haris lifted Shikagami to her feet and pushed her backward, she spun and walked right into a monkey flip from Azeula. The fans loved it as Shikagami rolled out of the ring to regain herself and left Azeula and Haris to battle it out.
Haris went on the offensive getting a combo of kicks and punches in on Azeula, but it didn't last too long. Azeula ducked under a right hook and jumped up, following it up with a reverse hurricarana. The fans were buzzing for the newcomer to the TGW ring as she threw up an “A sign” to the fans. Haris was to her feet and ready to go again. The ladies exchanged a few stiff kicks before Haris tried to send Azeula off the ropes with a whip. As Azeula hit the ropes, Shikagami pulled them down and sent her over the top.
Shikagami leaped on to the top ropes and dove at Haris, landing the Super Girl side kick. She tried for a cover but only got 2 as Haris kicked out. Shikagami pulled Haris to her feet and hit a northern lights suplex. Shikagami bridged then pushed herself into a backflip, following it up with a figure four leg lock! The fans were cheering on as Haris tried to roll over to reverse the move and at the same time, a rising Azeula who was pulling herself into the ring. Azeula made it first and broke the hold and began to stomp on both Haris and Shikagami. Haris rolled away from a stomp and tried for the Shades of Morality on Azeula but received a sit-down powerbomb! Azeula rolled to her feet and connected with a tornado DDT on Shikagami!
Azeula climbed the nearest turnbuckle and seemed to be ready to try a Capital A, but Haris charged the corner, knocking Azeula down, making her straddle the corner. Haris began to climb looking to attempt a superplex off the top ropes, but got hit with a forearm to the lower back by Shikagami. Shikagami began to send high kicks above her head, connecting with Haris' sides and back. Shikagami then climbed the bottom rope and landed a back bodydrop as Haris hit a superplex!
The fans went crazy as all three ladies hit the mat and the referee began the 10 count. As the referee got to about 7, Shikagami was to her feet and right behind her was Azeula. The two ladies exchanged a punch each before Haris was to her feet. Azeula sent Shikagami into the corner, but Haris hit Azeula with a Wild Eclipse! Azeula fell between the bottom and middle ropes to the outside as Haris turned her attention to Shikagami. Shikagami connected with a spear and jumped to her feet. She climbed to the top ropes and dove for Haris, landing the Kamikaze for the win!
Winner: Kaori Shikagami
Azeula began to walk up the ramp as Shikagami celebrated in the ring with her new folder. Shikagami held it up to Azeula who yelled that it wasn't over between the two of them. As the fans cheered the competitors in the match, boos started to chime in for Shikagami winning the match. Haris began to walk up the ramp as we took one more shot at Shikagami in the middle of the ring, before fading to black.
