Well this is new...
It's been quite a long time since Kaji Fireson has been the new kid on the block, and it's been even longer since he's participated in an organization that is just getting off the ground (or just getting off the ground again, as the case may be). Either way, Kaji is looking to broaden his horizons, and True Glory Wrestling is one of the places where he can do that. Of course, the more things change, the more things stay the same.
The scene opens on a simple scene, Kaji dressed in a t-shirt and jeans as he sits on a bench in a park outside. He's sweating, which indicates that he is in the South, probably the Deep South. However, despite the fact that he has to brush his long, deep crimson hair out of his eyes every once in a while, he seems to be in high spirits. He must be excited about joining a new organization. Or maybe he's just amused that, as he comes into a new company, he sees the same old tricks.
It's always the same, isn't it? No matter where I go, whether the roster is big or small, the territory large or small, someone is always trying to take over. Chris Maddox must feel real big for attacking two men exhausted from a main event effort. And now he's going to try and dominate TGW to...what? Prove his dominance? Validate himself? Maddox seems to think that he's being neglected, so he brings in a friend to take over TGW and set up shop against the GM. Because I haven't seen an invasion angle before.
Kaji quirks an eyebrow. Then he chuckles a little bit, shaking his head.
Sorry...I seem to have forgotten my manners. It's been a while since I've had to introduce myself to an audience. My name is Kaji Fireson...though I suppose you knew that already, if you're watching this. I've been around the block a few times, and a few of you might have heard of me, but I travel around so much, it's kind of refreshing to be part of an organization that has a show in the same place every week. I can actually take the time to get to know the same fans every week.
I can go through the usual introduction pieces, like telling you where I am from, what I've done, and all that, but I have always operated under the MO that all that doesn't matter. So what if I've won world championships somewhere else? They don't matter in TGW, because the only title that matters here is the TGW Championship, and I will hold it, eventually. I'm fine with starting from the bottom again, though, because that's what happens when you're the new kid on the block. That's another refreshing part of this experience; it's been a long time since I could just wrestle without having some sort of pre-conceived expectation placed on me.
The man that I get to go up against in this fresh start is Roland Dunkirk, and all I know about him is that he's not had a good night in a long while. It's a shame, because it's not going to get any better this week. I've been around long enough that I know the value of making an impact on your first day, and on Tuesday, I'm going to make sure everyone in TGW knows that I mean business. Roland, I'm sure you're a tremendous competitor when you're on your game, but it seems like you're just sticking around because you're under contract. I'd rather not wrestle that man; I want to wrestle a man that really wants to be here. I'll be honest, though; I've been around long enough to see that you aren't going to give me what I want. I'll just have to overcome you on Animosity so I can move on to the ones who do care about what they're doing. Maybe I'll eventually get to encounter these two would-be wrestling conquistadors and show them that you need more than a sneak attack to be the face of a company.
Kaji stands up from the bench and stretches a bit. Then he grins at the camera.
Am I declaring that I'm going to be the face of TGW? Nope. If I'm destined for that role, I want to earn it first. For now, I'm just here to wrestle, and that is what I'm going to do. If Chris Maddox, Evan Banks, or any other person tries to interfere with that, they will get the full force of my wrath. I have spent too long wrestling in places that try to pigeonhole me, fighting men or forces of men that try to control me or coerce me or persuade me. I'm here to wrestle because it's what I do, and no one is going to keep me from doing that. Not Alli Taylor, not Chris Maddox's band of merry men, no one.
I want to be a nice guy, I really do. Please don't make me get nasty. I'm trying to get away from the places that make me a bad man. Don't make TGW that place. You'll be better off.
Kaji smiles at the camera, still in relatively good spirits, before turning around and walking down one of the sidewalks, the scene fading out.
