”Stealing the Show”
With the last show before No Limits set to start, our cameras were in the back as it caught a long black limo pull up. The camera man walked closer as the driver got out and before the our cameras could get any closer, the driver stopped him and told him by orders of Mr. Mason, that the identity of who was inside was not to be revealed. All he could say was that he was a guest of Mr. Mason.
We went ringside as Scott Parker and Todd Evans welcomed us to the show and ran down the matches. Parker informed us that David Cage could not pass his intro physical in time to be able to appear on the show and that he was removed from the match. Evans guessed as to what it meant to be the “Wild-card” winner and had no idea what was going on with Kaori Shikagami.
Ja-Gi Kyung Moon Vs. America Azuela
The first match of the night was the “wild-card” match and the winner would receive a folder that they could use, but Wade Mason had yet to give more details. JAGI took the early offense as it was apparent that Azuela was not a 100 percent rested after her match last week with Xaria Linette. After a quick lock up, JAGI dropped Azuela with an amateur style wrestling take-down. Much like we had seen in week 1 against Xaria Linette, JAGI didn't want to outright strike Azuela. JAGI locked in a rear chin lock with his knee in the back of Azuela, drawing lots of heat from the crowd. After a period of time, Azuela was able to wiggle free from the hold and pulled herself up. JAGI was right on her, never giving her a second to recover, and tried a school boy roll up. Azuela kicked out at 2 but JAGI was right on top of her, using a chicken-wing pin combo, for 2.
JAGI didn't try for a pin after the kick out, but instead got Azuela locked in an armbar. Azuela reached for the ropes and was barely able to touch the ropes. JAGI jumped to his feet and as Azuela rose, he locked her in the Hopeless Romantic and Azuela immediately tapped out!
Winner: Ja-gi Kyung Moon
After the match “Stay Alive” by Trapt began to play and Wade Mason made his way to the ring with a folder in hand. He smiled as he walked down the ramp and into the ring as he was handed a microphone. Mason handed the folder to JAGI and told him to open it. As JAGI opened it, Mason explained to the fans what JAGI was reading. He told everyone that JAGI was the wild-card winner and that what it meant was; if JAGI could win his next three matches, that he would be granted a title shot of his choosing at any time he wanted. JAGI seemed to have mixed emotions about it as we went ringside.
Parker told the fans that Xaria Linette was set to appear tonight, but that she had missed her flight and could not be reached for comment on her status in TGW and her career in wrestling.
Russell Franchise Vs. Steve Canyon
The undefeated Russell Franchise was going up against the newcomer and 1 and 0 Steve Canyon. The two circled each other as the match started, waiting for each other to make the first move. Franchise went first and looked for a clothesline, but the ring general ducked the move easily and began to attack with left and right shots to the sides of Franchise. After a few hard blows, Franchise caught the right arm of Canyon and hooked the other, following it with a big under-hook suplex as the fans cheered. Franchise rose to his feet and began to clap to get the fans behind him, motivating him. Canyon was soon to follow and after a quick lock up, Canyon sent Franchise into the corner with a hard Irish whip. Canyon charged and hit a clothesline that almost sent Franchise up and over the top rope. Canyon climbed a turnbuckle and began a 10 punch. At 8, Franchise hooked Canyon and ran with him, hitting a running powerbomb!
The fans jumped to their feet as Franchise climbed to his and tried to lock in a Boston crab but was kicked away. Canyon was to his feet and landed a hard kick to the gut, possibly looking for the Sinister Edge, but Franchise hit a kick of his own.
The two men exchanged a few blows before Franchise ducked a punch coming at him and hit a Russian Legsweep. Both men were on the mat and appeared to be running out of gas after the hard shots. Canyon was slowly getting up and right behind him was Franchise. The crowd was really behind the 'A' Game as he stood up. Canyon charged Franchise, who was standing near a turnbuckle, and leaped looking for a stinger splash! Franchise moved at the last second and Canyon went face first into the corner. He stumbled backwards and Franchise hit a Franchise Tag for the win!
Winner: Russell Franchise
After the match, Franchise was handed his folder and tore the top open. He slowed pulled out the contract and held it up to the camera. The contract was for one of the spots in the Volitionary Title match at No Limits. The fans cheered as Franchise left the ring and we went to our announce team.
They put over the determination of Russell Franchise and that he deserved to be in the match at No Limits. As they ran down the rest of the card, we went backstage to Wade Mason who was in his office, sitting in a chair. Mason put over the Volitionary Title and said that it was fitting that Franchise was holding that contract because it gave more to what he was about to say. He announced that he was informed that Kaori Shikagami would be at No Limits and had her contract with him. As he opened it, he held it up to reveal the other contract for the Volitionary Title match.
Back at ringside, Parker ran went over the short history that Shikagami and Franchise had, noting that Franchise held a victory over her. Evans pointed out that either the winner of two of the next three matches would be meeting at No Limits for the TGW World Title. We were then shown clips of Camisado laid out backstage last week to get us ready for our next match.
Camisado Vs. AJ Adams
This match was just business to Adams but was made personal and you could see it on the face of Camisado. As the match got underway, Camisado charged and hit a spear, followed by a flurry of punches to Adams. After a handful of blows, the referee began the disqualification count. Camisado jumped to his feet at 3 and charged as Adams rose. Camisado lowered his shoulder for another spear but Adams connected with a knee to the side of the head. Camisado fell hard to the mat as Adams hit a jumping elbow drop. The fans booed Adams as he began to land hard shots to the head of Camisado. Camisado pulled his arms up and blocked most of the shots but damage had been done.
Adams pulled Camisado to his feet but received a knee to the gut, followed by a fireman's carry to a sit-out drop. The fans cheered as Camisado tried to lock in the White Flag but Adams did everything in his power to battle out. Adams used his feet to then trip up Camisado with a version of the drop toe hold and Camisado hit his head hard on the mat. Adams pulled Camisado to his feet and sent him off the ropes. Camisado tried a clothesline but Adams ducked, locking in a sleeper hold. Before being able to hit the sleeper slam, Camisado used his elbows to land shots to the gut of Adams.
Camisado then spun around but received a knee to the gut. Adams grabbed him by the back of the head, jumping up and hit the Last Call and covered for the win!
Winner: AJ Adams
Before Adams could celebrate, someone slide into the ring and delivered a high impact cutter/RKO! The mystery man was wearing a long sleeve fur coat and not much else could be seen. He covered Adams and a referee ran down and counted a 3 count!
The mystery man got up and dropped his coat, revealing a black rhinestone belt, royal blue wresting tights with nautical stars on them. Most of the fans knew that AJ Donavon had just arrived and stole the show from AJ Adams. Donavon, a former BWF, eWo, UXW star, was then handed the folder from the second referee that had come down. Donavon opened the folder and showed it to the camera and inside was one of the TGW World Title match contracts! The fans were stunned and gave a mixed reaction to Donavon who laughed.
Donavon left the ring as we went ringside to Parker and Evans who couldn't believe what just happened. Parker put over the move Donavon hit Adams with, called the Faceplant and the fact that Donavon held a contract to be in the TGW World Title match at No Limits.
Backstage, Wade Mason was waiting for AJ Donavon and the two shook hands. Mason gave him congratulations and the two men shook hands. Donavon thanked him for the limo to the arena and promised that TGW had a real star on it's roster now. Donavon smiled and sent a message to Adams, telling him that it wasn't personal and that it was just business. Joking that he knew what that meant so no hard feelings.
David Blazenwing Vs. Jared Light
[/b]The two competitors shook hands as the match began and got underway. Light landed the first few shots and hit an enzuigiri that sent sent Blazenwing flipping over. Light seemed to just flow right to his feet as he lifted Blazenwing to his and connected with a T-Bone suplex. The fans showed their support but seemed split on who to cheer for. Light jumped to his feet as Blazenwing staggered to his and walked right into a busaiku knee kick. Blazenwing fell to a knee and Light went off the ropes and charged, hitting the Revelry!
Light covered and the match was over to the amazement of the fans.
Winner: Jared Light
Light was then handed the folder and before he could open it, Blazenwing was back to his feet. Blazenwing approached Light and shook his hand and pointed to the fans. The camera microphones picked up Blazenwing telling Light to go and win the title and that they could go again when Blazenwing wasn't focused elsewhere, before leaving.
Light tore open the folder and held up the contract to a title shot of his choosing at anytime he saw fit. The fans cheered for him as we went ringside once again.
Parker and Evans ran down tonight main event between Cody Only and Alex Wilkie. We know knew that one of those men would face AJ Donavon at No Limits for the TGW World Title. Backstage, AJ Adams barged into the office of Wade Mason and demanded that AJ Donavon give up the contract that he won, claiming he was screwed out of what was rightfully his. Mason agreed that Adams showed that he was here to compete and that he beat Camisado fair and square but that he couldn't do anything about the title match because Donavon had already signed and turned in the contract. He then told Adams that he would do something to make up for it and named Adams the number 1 contender for the title after No Limits.
Cody Only Vs. Alex Wilkie
The newcomer in Cody Only circled Alex Wilkie as our match started. A look of determination was across his face as Wilkie played the crowd and got them to chant his name. Wilkie tried to use a sweeping kick of sorts, aiming for the shins of Only, but Only jumped up. As he hit the mat on his feet, Only delivered a one leg dropkick. Wilkie went flying into the corner and Only ran at him and hit a jumping knee to the chest. Only followed it up with an European uppercut and a let Wilkie stumble forward. Only jumped up trying to hit a hurricanrana but Wilkie blocked it with a sit down powerbomb.
The fans cheered on Wilkie to climbed to his feet but was followed soon after by Only. The two men locked up and each tried to gain the upper hand. Wilkie used an arm drag to take down Only, but as he charged Only delivered one of his own. Wilkie smiled as he pointed to the fans as their cheered on, Only never took his eyes off Wilkie. Wilkie realized that Only was serious and the smile left his face as the two circled again.
Only began to land a few quick shots to Wilkie then the two locked up yet again. Only then conneceted with a swinging neckbreaker. Both men slowly were wearing down and the fans knew it. Wilkie was up as was Only, Wilkie took Only down with a side suplex and locked in a modified full nelson while both men were on the mat. Only squirmed as Wilkie applied more pressure trying to keep him from the ropes. Only reached out as far as he possibly could and grabbed the bottom rope to break the hold. Wilkie landed a quick leg drop on Only before he could stand.
Wilkie then pulled Only to his feet and tried for a bulldog, but Only sent Wilkie to the mat pushing him away. As Wilkie slowly got up, Only charged and looked for the Shining Wizard, but Wilkie ducked, rolling to his feet. Wilkie landed a kick and looked for the Grade A Stunner, but Only pulled Wilkie down as he wrapped his arms around his waist! He followed it up with a German suplex and the pulled Wilkie back to his feet. Wilkie desperately swung at Only but Only ducked and locked in the Cobra Clutch! They fell to the mat together and Wilkie began to slip and the referee called for the match!
Winner: Cody Only
Cody jumped to his feet as the fans cheered him on. He was handed the contract and tore it open to reveal the other TGW World Title match contract. Cody Only fell to his knees as he looked at the contract and then to the fans cheering. AJ Donavon appeared at the top of the ramp and Only stood and leaned on the ropes facing the entrance. Only smiled and Donavon motioned for the title around his waist as we faded to black.
