Welcome to the September, 28th edition of TGW's Animosity! My name is Stan Brooks and I am the monthly Pay-Per-View live recapper and after No Limits last week I've been asked to stay in San Diego and recap Animosity this week. I'm excited to be here and I'm even sitting ringside with Scott Parker and Todd Evans. I got my laptop ready to go to call the action for everyone and to enjoy a great show. What's nice is I can hear what Parker and Evans are talking about so I'll be able to give you any insight that they might have.
“Stay Alive” by Trapt begins to play throughout the arena and Mr Wade Mason is making his way out to the stage. There is still the mix of boo's and cheers as I can only assume some still haven't let go of the whole AJ Donavon getting into the main event of No Limits. Mason stops at the top of the ramp and lets the crowd quiet down a little bit before beginning to speak. He thanks everyone for coming, the usual talk that he is supposed to do. Mason lets us know that once again, he doesn't endorse how AJ Donavon got into the main event of No Limits but that he won fair and square against Cody Only. Ouch, the fans didn't like that too much. He apologizes for speaking the truth but assures everyone that Donavon will not receive special treatment, no matter how many people think it. Mason says that he is giving Cody Only a rematch in the future, due to the closeness of the match. The fans have just lost it with cheers and approval.
Backstage, Lily Haris is seen stretching and warming up for her match. Todd Evans says it's coming up a bit later. Kaori Shikagami starts to make her way to the ring for her match again David Blazenwing. I must also add, very slowly. It's easy to see that she's still banged up from the cage match against Russell Franchise for the Volitionary Title at No Limits. She's about half way down the ramp and David Blazenwing isn't waiting for her to finish coming out! He's carrying a steel chair and just landed anasty shot to the back of Kaori! The referee in the ring just threw the match out and it's a no contest.
David Blazenwing pulls Kaori up by the hair and lifts her up over his shoulder and is walking up the ramp. She starts to squirm a little as he puts her on her feet and takes a few steps back. This doesn't look good. He tosses her the chair and Kaori just caught it! FULL EFFECT! The chair just went crashing into Kaori's face, she stumbles backwards and falls off the stage! Kaori just landed on a bunch of extra cables and cords and seems to be out cold. Trainers are out to check on her and try and help her. Blazenwing looks down at the carnage and just smiles. The fans are stunned and in shock but a few are booing Blazenwing.
As trainers are helping get Kaori on a stretcher and to the back, Todd Evans and Scott Parker are to my left and are going down the rest of the show. What I want to know is; what has gotten into David Blazenwing?
The fans are treated to a recap of No Limits over a video to give more time to help get Kaori out of the ring. After a few more minutes it's time for the next match.
Lily Haris and Camisado have made their way to the ring, but where is Canyon? The referee is about to start the match without him as he slides in the ring behind Camisado and Haris. Canyon is off the ropes and hit a double clothesline to take both of his opponents down and the bell sounds to start the match. Canyon pulls Camisado to his feet and sends him up and over the top rope and down to the floor. Camisado crashes hard and Canyon is following him out. Haris is standing in the middle of the ring looking kinda confused. Canyon just pulled Camisado to his feet and sent him hard into the steel steps and began to laugh. The referee began to count out the two men as Canyon helped Camisado up yet again, this time sending him into the ring. Camisado slowly got this his feet as Canyon walked up the ramp, not looking back. Haris connected with a kick and jumped, following it with a spike DDT! She rolls into the pinfall for the victory!
Winner: Lily Haris (Pinfall)
Lily Haris is heading up the ramp after her win, surely happy with the fact she won but you can tell she'd rather it happen a different way.
Backstage, Kirsten Shelley catches up with David Blazenwing who is walking towards the exit of the arena. Shelley asks Blazenwing why he attacked Kaori Shikagami before their number one contender match for the Volitionary title. He said it was simple, he could win a match like that whenever he wanted but this week wasn't about winning his shot. It was about sending a message that he doesn't care about anyone but himself. Before Shelley could ask him another question he turned in a rush and left the arena.
AJ Adams came to the ring first to get us ready for our next match. Adams still received his mixed reaction from the people that supported him and the people that dislike him for his cocky attitude. He runs the ropes to get loosened up as Jared Light makes his way down the ramp. The fans cheer for Light as he slaps hands with a few of them. With both men in the ring it's time for the match to begin.
Adams and Light lock up and Adams looks for a hip toss. Light holds his own and spins, looking for hammerlock. Adams reaches back and hits a snap mare on Light. Light sits up and Adams is off the ropes and dives, connecting with a flip over neckbreaker. Adams rolled Light up with an Oklahoma roll and the fans pop. Adams got a 2 count before Light kicked out and jumped to his feet. Light ducks a clothesline and lifts Adams up for a Samoan side driver. Light pulls Adams up and the two men exchange a few lefts and rights. Adams finally gets the upper hand with a hard kick to the gut followed by a reverse Russian legsweep. Adams is to his feet and teases an anklelock, but Light starts to pull himself up using the ropes.
The fans are evenly split between these two men and Light swings for Adams, almost out of desperation. Adams side steps it and lands another kick to the gut, making Light double over. Adams lifts a knee to the face of Light who is still doubled over. Adams jumps up and lands the Eat It. Adams doesn't go for the cover however, but instead starts to climb the turnbuckle. He could hit various moves from up there but Light is starting to stir. Adams sees this and stands on the top rung with his arms out to his side, Light is up and turns around. Missile dropkick connects and both men are on the mat. Adams is up first and not far behind is Light, they exchange jabs and hooks. Light tries a step up enzuigiri, but Adams ducks the leg coming around and grabs the ankle of Light! Anklelock! Light fights it but finally taps.
Winner: AJ Adams (Submission)
Adams lets go of the anklelock and looks around and finally looking up. I didn't notice it before but he's wearing a white wristband this week with “POP” in black writing. Adams rolls under the ropes and heads up the ramp as I can hear Evans and Parker running down the next match. A video clip of Belle Landru and David Cage from No Limits is playing as they talk. These two should have a great match and I expect a close one.
Landru is to the ring first and awaits Cage's entrance. Cage comes out slowly and has nothing but intensity on his face as his eyes lock with Landru's. The two competitors stare at each other in the middle of the ring before Cage opens the match with a right short arm clothesline. Landru pops backup and ducks another attempt and lands a hard boxing style strong uppercut sending Cage back into the ropes. As Cage walks forward, Landru connects with a snap DDT to take him down. Landru rolls to her feet and locks in an armbar on Cage. Cage fights it off and is able to reach the ropes.
Cage is looking to impress Wade Mason and start to climb up the title ranks and this is his chance to do so. He rolls to his feet and Landru meets him with a right, Cage returns a left, and the two exchange much to the delight of the fans. Cage finally lands a blow hard enough to stun Landru for just a split second, allowing him to to connect with a double underhook suplex. Cage hooks the legs of Landru for a pin attempt. 1..2..kickout. Somewhat of an ease kick out for Landru, you can tell she has some energy left and wants this match bad.
The two are both on their feet and Cage looks for a clothesline, Landru ducks and hits him with a spinning elbow as he turns around. He stumbles back into the corner and Landru backs up. She charges Cage and hits a moonsault kick! The fans loved it and it just flowed. Cage falls forward and Landru is able to lock in an Indian deathlock! Cage is too close to the ropes and realizes it, grabbing the bottom rope. Landru is to her feet and goes to lift Cage up, but he lands a few shots to her kidneys. He jumps up looking for the Fuck Off, Landru wraps her arm around the top rope and he can't connect it. Cage turns around, looking for Talk is Cheap. He lifts Landru up and and sends her crashing to his knee.
Cage covers, 1...2..kickout! He can't believe it and neither can anyone else. He seems pissed off right now and that might be a good thing for him but bad for Landru. He tries to pull her up but she pushes him off, knocking him into the referee who gets spun around. Landru rakes the eyes of Cage and connects with the Fear's Wage! The referee is alert, cover! 1...2...3!
Winner: Belle Landru (Pinfall)
Belle Landru just pulled off a victory that was a big win. She just let out a big sigh of relief as Cage is starting to stir and can't believe how close it was. Landru raises her arms and heads to the back. Cage is up and yells at the referee thinking he had the win after Talk is Cheap. The referee tries to stand up for himself and Cage snaps and levels the referee. He hits a F.T.F.O and spits on the referee as a few trainers head to the ring. Cage pushes past them and heads up the ramp.
That match was just as close as I thought it was going to be and Cage is not a happy camper. I still think he was able to impress and things are still looking up for him. The same can be said to Landru as she pulled off a great win.
The fans are buzzing even more so now, they know it's time for the main event. The first team out is TGW Volitionary Champ, Russell Franchise, and Cody Only as the fans eat it up. Cody Only shows his respect for the Volitionary Champ and makes sure that fans give him plenty of love as the await in the ring. Ja-Gi Kyung Moon makes his way to the ring next and sits on the ring apron and waits for his partner. The TGW World Champ, AJ Donavon begins to make his way to the ring to a chorus of boos but just plays off of it. His ego almost as big as the crowd tonight.
All 4 men are in the ring as we sort out who will start off the match. This is going to be TGW's first tag team match so things are exciting for some of the staff and the fans. It looks as if Franchise and JAGI will start off the match to the delight of the fans.
Franchise and JAGI are sharing words in the middle of the ring and it does not look friendly. Franchise and JAGI explode and begin to exchange a ton of lefts and rights. Franchise lands a hard backhand chop that stunned JAGI long enough to allow Franchise to hit a rising forearm. The Volitionary Champ didn't slow down and began to land a number of shoot kicks to the shins of JAGI. One made JAGI jump backwards in pain and Franchise met him with a running neckbreaker. Franchise is up and pulls JAGI to his feet, sending him into the his teams corner. Franchise tags in Cody Only for the first time and Only jumps over the top ropes. Only lands a combo of elbows and kicks to JAGI as he is in the corner, then sends him off the ropes. As JAGI comes back he is met with a big back body drop.
Only pulls JAGI up who was slowly trying to crawl to his own corner, and lands a few more elbows. JAGI finally ducks one and hits Only with a Manhattan drop. JAGI falls to a knee and reaches for a tag from his partner AJ Donavon, but AJ “isn't paying attention”. Donavon is turned around looking into the crowd and is arguing with someone ringside. JAGI gets rushed from behind by Franchise as Only had tagged out and is hit with a bulldog. Franchise covers. 1...2. right at two, Donavon comes in and pulls Franchise off and shakes his head as he gets back to the apron and is calling for a tag. Franchise pulls JAGI up and hits him with a suplex in the middle of the ring. The fans are going nuts as Franchise lands a few stomps, and is about to go for the Remix. He goes off the ropes and his hit with a knee to the back from Donavon as he bounces off. This allows JAGI to get to his feet and hits a monkey flip on Franchise.
Franchise rolls to Only and tags him in and JAGI and Only begin to exchange blows. JAGI lands a hard kick to the gut and looks for a DDT, but Only battles out and hits a northern lights suplex. The fans are cheering for Only and Franchise as Only pulls JAGI back up. Only lands a Russian legsweep and rolls backwards to his feet, jumping up and landing a leg drop across the face of JAGI. Only pops back up and tags in Franchise who helps JAGI up and then sends him off the ropes. JAGI springboards off the ropes and into a spinning crossbody on Franchise! Hook of the leg, 1...2..kick out! JAGI is to his feet again and pulls Franchise up, Donavon puts his boot on the top rung and JAGI rams Franchise's head off it. Donavon tags in for the first time and lands a hard chop across the chest of Franchise.
Donavon sends Franchise off the ropes and connects with a rolling Boston crab. Only is in within seconds and breaks up the hold. As the referee tries to get Only out, Donavon sends Franchise into his corner and he and JAGI begin a double team of punches. Donavon tags JAGI in and jumps out of the ring. JAGI looks for a hard clothesline in the corner but is hit with a hard boot to the face from Franchise. The A Game tags in Only who comes in hot with a few hard shots to JAGI.
JAGI tries to duck one of the hard blows but Only comes swinging back and hits him right in the kindney. Only hits a running Yakuza kick that sends JAGI over the top rope. Donavon is in the ring and is getting the attention of both the referee and Cody Only. Only and Donavon share words. Someone just jumped the barricade! He's huge, maybe almost 7 feet tall. He is walking over to JAGI who is still sprawled out on the outside of the ring. He's of some sort of Asian decent, but what is he doing?
He helps JAGI up to his feet and lands a double arm sitout clokeslam! He pulls JAGI back up and tosses him threw the second and third ropes. The fans don't know what to think, Donavon just rolled out of the ring. This is screaming set up. Donavon just reached in his boot and pulled out a wade of cash and handed it to the giant. Donavon is heading up the ramp with his TGW World Title.
Only didn't see what happened and pulls JAGI up a little and locks in the Cobra Clutch. The referee calls for the bell and it's over.
Winners: Cody Only and Russell Franchise (Submission)
The giant has left through the crowd again and a replay is being shown. Only and Franchise just caught it on the screen and are in somewhat a shock. Donavon stands at the top of the ramp laughing, “Stay Alive” by Trapt begins to play and Wade Mason is back out!
Mason tells Donavon that he had no reason to do what he did. He knows he's trying to out smart everyone by making JAGI lose and thus losing a possible contender to his title, but he can't fool Mason. Instead, Donavon is suspended next week without pay! He also promises that Donavon will be involved in a big match in two weeks, so to be prepared.
Only and Franchise look on as JAGI starts to come to and the cameras stop rolling.
