Sooner or later people will start to listen to me when I saw I'm going to win, I haven't lied yet. Last week, at No Limits, I beat Lily Haris in the middle of the ring – one two three. She met her Last Call and the match was over, and I'm still showing people that I always follow through. I may not be as out spoken this week but sometimes personal things come up before business.
As far as the business goes, I'm facing Jared Light this Monday. The man that can have a title shot at either title whenever he wants. He holds the yours or mine contract that allows him to cash in whenever he deems ready. I on the other hand am the number one contender to the TGW World Title. Something that will be mine sooner rather than later. Jared has the skills he needs to be at the top after being trained by two very gifted wrestlers, but still lacks the drive. Luckily for me I have both.
I may not come from some fancy wrestling school, have a bunch of buddies that wrestle, or any one to pass me the torch. I've gotten myself where I am today on my own. I left everything that was laid out for me behind and worked to gain the talent that I have. There is nothing personal this week and no vendettas because it's all business.
The only thing personal about this week is my victory will be dedicated to my late grandfather who died of a heart attack on Wednesday morning. Pop, this one will be for you. I'll see you in the ring Jared. [/right] Tuesday night. 11:39pm. AJ Adams' Apartment. San Diego, California Laughter fills the room as AJ and Cassie sit in his living room, both smiling and enjoying themselves. He flips his hair back as she tucks hers behind her ears. “Gosh, AJ, you're a riot. I'm so glad you moved in.” “I am too, though, I admit I was worried at first. I mean, I didn't know anyone here or where things are. I've never even visited before.” “Even though you lived in LA?” “Never even though I lived in LA.” “Wow, that's something else.” AJ grabs a glass of wine that sits in front of him and finishes the last few sips. Cassie had finished hers as he put down his glass. The two smile at each other and she lets out a big sigh. “I guess I better head upstairs, I have to get up early.” “Thank you for the visit, Cassie. You are always welcomed here.” The two stand and he walks her to the door as she spins around. She leans up and kisses him softly on the cheek and thanks him. As she leaves he lets out a big sigh as a feeling of happiness hits him. He walks to his living room window as looks out of his highrise to the city below. Everything moving so fast around him and things still looking up. AJ was now 2 and 0 and didn't seem to be ready to lose. His mind raced between his upcoming match with Jared Light and how happy he felt when he was around Cassie. As he tried to sort things out, his cell phone began to go off. He looked at the screen and it was his mother, someone he hadn't talked to since moving to San Diego. “Hey mom, I've been meaning to call you to tell you how the move went.” He could tell she was fighting back tears. “AJ, it's your grandfather. He's in the hospital here in Los Angeles, it doesn't look good.” AJ stumbled and felt his legs grow weak, he made it to the couch and slowly sat down. “I'll catch the first flight home.”
