Pablo: And then, when you hit that sweet bulldog off the top, I thought that shit was going to be over! But she started climbing the cage and then you climbed the cage! I thought that you were going to totally lose it, but then, you fell 10 feet to the ground. I don't even see how you managed to survive after that fall.
Franchise: You know, when you put everything on the line, you got nothing left to lose!
Russell Franchise, still sore after a championship match still being echoed as one of the best matches in history, has time to chug a beer at McHale's as he celebrates with his post-victory party. As a wave of famous celebrities and wrestlers comes in from the Google Waterfront Arena, Russell is nursing sore ribs and a glass of Jack, straight up!
Pablo: Russell, you are now a champion. How does it feel?
Franchise: I gotta tell you, I've felt better! That cage match was from hell. Kaori wasn't pulling any punches! While she was good, I was better! And I'll take better over good anyday.
Pablo: So, you giving Kaori a title shot? What you going to do? A ladder match? Maybe another cage match?
Franchise: Hell, naw! I think I'm going to stay away from steel cages for a while. Besides, I got other things to worry about. I'm in the first tag team match of TGW next week as I'm going to team up with Cody Only against JaGi and the World Champion AJ Donavon....I can't even believe I'm saying that in the same sentence. AJ Donavon is World Champion.
Pablo: Whoa, Holmes! Do I sense a twinge of jealously?
Franchise: Look, when I came to the TGW, I told everybody I would give everything I got to put on a great show for the crowd. I'm not going to bitch and moan my way to the top like Donavon is. True championships are earned through hard work. I've had to break my balls to get to where I am right now. I didn't punk Wade Mason every time I wanted a title shot! That's just wrong! He's about as bad as JaGi...correct that...JaGi might have a slight edge!
Pablo: Yo Russell, if I was the commish, I would have given you the World Title shot! Listen, you're one of the few wrestlers in TGW that has an undefeated streak. That's got to be enough to get a World Title shot.
Franchise: You know, Pablo, as much I do deserve a shot at the World Title, the Volutionary Title is more than enough for me. I'm calling my own shots now in TGW. But for this week, it's me and Cody Only, the man who truly should be the World Champion of TGW! He was robbed of the title and now, it's time to earn some payback for him, 'A' Game style!
Pablo: But, do you have enough to over take JaGi and Donavon in a tag team match?
Franchise: Cody Only and Franchise are like...like...the Coalition of the Willing! You have Cody Only, a man who takes risks and wins at it. Then, you have The Franchise, who uses his 'A' Game to bring even the toughest man down. Now, JaGi and Donavon, they are the Axis of Evil! AJ Donavon, the greatest beggar in the world! And then you have Kim Jung-JaGi! He's a short little piss-ant who thinks he can dictate everybody to bow to his will!
Well, the Game Plan is simple, come Monday Night, the Coalition of the Willing is going to be dropping bombs all night long! Cody Only is going to be hitting Donavon from the sky like a B-52, while Russell Franchise will be using "shock and awe" to destroy Moon and bring him down with the Franchise Tag! We will be victorious, because that's the only thing we can be!
Pablo: You think you're going to be 100% for this match? You're pretty banged up right now.
Franchise: I don't care if I'm 25% ready, Pablo! I'm hitting the ring to knock some heads and bring people down a peg. It is time that I introduce myself to AJ Donavon as the Volutionary Champion and FUTURE WORLD CHAMPION!!! And if he doesn't know about me yet, he can ask that little bitch JaGi! As for right now, Donavon can bring the title that's not his and JaGi can bring his false title hopes! While Cody Only will bring his swagger and, of course, I'll bring....THE 'A' GAME!!!
As Franchsie yells his catchphrase, he feels the sting of his ribs expanding with his lungs and catches it in pain!
Franchise: But first, a good night's rest, and some Extra Strength Tylenol!!

Cody Only RP: Old Friends, New Enemies
Airports. Ever since he started traveling to wrestle, airports had become like a second home to Cody. He hated them, but he was forced to spend large amounts time dealing with them. No job is perfect, really, and the airport was proof of that. His career choice would have been perfect for him if not for the airports. At least now he was making enough money that the travel was breaking the bank, so he supposed that was a nice change. He sighed and looked down at his watch before scanning the baggage claim area of the Detroit Metro Airport once again. It was obvious he'd been waiting quite a while, since he was the only one there. He should have called a car service to get him, but his mother insisted she would pick him up. And she was always late.
It felt like he was waiting there forever, and when a smallish hand with black painted nails slammed down on his shoulder from behind it caused it to jump out of his seat, almost tripping over his duffel bag in the process. He turned around with an angry expression on his face, which was followed by a combination of amusement and surprise.
Cody: Oh my god, Rebecca?
The girl didn't look like the type of person who would hang around with Cody. No tattoos, nice clothes, a lack of multiple facial piercings. Still, they looked pretty happy to see each other.
Rebecca: Your mom told me you were coming home, so I thought maybe I'd surprise you. Hope you don't mind.
He laughed a bit and grabbed his duffel bag, throwing it over one shoulder.
Cody: No, it's great. How many years has it been?
Rebecca: Six.
Cody: Are you still with...uh...
A momentary lapse in memory on Cody's part led to a short silence, followed by a giggle from Rebecca. She could have just told him, but what fun would that be. She'd just let him sweat it out for a bit. When it became obvious he wasn't going to get it, she finally decided to speak up and help him out.
Rebecca: Jason. And yes, I am. We're married now.
She held up a hand to his face to show him the ring, which elicited an impressed whistle from Cody.
Cody: That's a big rock!
He got another laugh out of her as the two of them began walking toward the parking lot. He thought she'd have more to say about it, but she quickly changed the subject. And not to anything pleasant, either. There were things he knew she'd bring up that he didn't want to discuss, but he didn't expect she'd drop them on him so soon.
Rebecca: Why didn't you say goodbye? I had to find out from your parents. There was no phone call or visit. I saw you the night before you left, and the next day I woke up and you were just gone, with no explanation. And for six years I didn't even get a letter. I mean, we've been best friends since second grade, Cody. And you just abandoned me! I even heard you came back to Detroit a few times, and you never even tried to see me!
It was a sore spot for him, and obviously for her as well. When he saw her he'd hoped they'd spend the day catching up and trading stories, but it seemed like this was the way it was going to be. He wanted to keep it between them, but that was a little hard to do with a camera in his face. He hesitated for a moment before deciding to just tell her what happened. He always tried his best to be a good guy, and part of being a good guy, at least in his eyes, was owning up to one's mistakes. Maybe this whole thing would be a lesson for the kids watching at home. Or would lead to one of the most dramatic meltdowns ever caught on film. Either way, he owed her an explanation.
Cody: I was nineteen, and a jackass. I mean, at least give me that. All men are stupid at nineteen.
The attempt at levity was more for him than her, although he supposed it wasn't the answer she was looking for.
Cody: Look, we both know how Jason was back in those days. And as close as we were, I know he thought I was trying to put my hands in his cookie jar.
The phrasing got a bit of a laugh from Rebecca, which he was thankful for. Humor was often enough to make or break tough moments like this.
Cody: I didn't want to step on anyone's toes. So, I thought maybe it would be for the best if I just left. And I heard you guys were still together last time I came for a visit, so I decided to just leave it alone. I mean, it looks like that was the right choice. You guys are married now, you look like you're doing great...
She cut him off.
Rebecca: We have a son.
He choked a bit when she mentioned it. She certainly didn't look like she'd had a kid. It caught him off guard, the way she presented it to him, causing him to stumble on his words.
Cody: You...you've got a son. So...it seems like you guys have a happy family going. And if I was still around, that might not have happened. He probably would have made you pick him or me, and there's no way I'd ever want to be part of one of those conversations. You're my best friend, and I wanted you to be happy. You loved the guy, and I didn't want to mess that up.
It became silent as she thought about what he had to say, closing her eyes with a sigh.
Rebecca: You've missed out on a lot. Get in the car. We have six years of talking to do, and only a weekend to do it.
He was happy she took it so well. That could have been a really bad situation. He laughed a bit and looked at the camera, smiling with relief.
Cody: You can't come with us. This is between friends. You've got the address for my mom and dad's place, so meet me there later tonight if you want my promo.
With those parting words Cody and Rebecca got in the car. It seemed like everything would be alright, and Cody was reminded of a very valuable lesson. Women never forget.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The camera begins rolling on Cody, who is sitting in a small bedroom. The walls are plastered with posters and fliers for various punk bands. It was quite nostalgic for Cody, since his parents left everything just as it was before he moved out. He spent a moment seated on the bed, bouncing on it with a smile on his face before he began talking.
Cody: You know, despite losing my match for the TGW title, I have a lot to be happy about. Of course it's disappointing to lose when you really want something, but that's life. I did my best, and I have no regrets about it. I'm sure AJ Donovan thinks all of his bragging and trash talk is salt in the wound, but it really isn't, because he's not saying anything I haven't heard before. And really, nothing he has to say to me now is any different from what he had to say last week. He's still talking about how much better he is than everyone else, and he's still taking way too long to do it. Let me offer you some advice, AJ. Nobody likes a bragger. But people hate a bragger who doesn't know when to stop. Are you really going to sit down each week and waist everyone's time by saying the same thing over and over again? Because it's pretty agonizing. But I'm getting off point.
He cracked his knuckles and chuckles a bit before resuming.
Cody: This week, I'm happy to say that I'll be teaming up with Russell Franchise. I've heard a lot of nicknames in my time, but I have to say "A-Game" is very appropriate for him because the man can really wrestle. I know going into this match that I don't need to worry about watching my back, because with a partner as good as him I've got nothing to worry about. He's got the Volitionary Championship for a reason. He's good. And unlike a certain other champion in TGW, he worked hard to earn it. Now, I know the two of us won't have any problems getting along, but I'm not so sure about AJ Donovan and JAGI.
He stopped talking to laugh for a moment, shaking his head at the slightly unusual pairing.
Cody: Sure, they have a lot in common. Like, for example, a complete lack of respect for TGW. On one hand we have our champion, who is so proud of himself for stealing a title shot and devaluing the TGW Championship he claims to love so much. And on the other we have JAGI, who earned the right to a title shot if he could win three matches, and is so upset about having to actually do his job that he's selling his title shot. I'd take that deal any day! But I guess JAGI suffers from the same poor attitude that AJ Donovan has. If you have to work hard for it, it isn't worth it. But that's not what I was getting at. My point is, if JAGI thinks AJ Donovan is going to be a good partner, he's sadly mistaken. It's very obvious he's only out for himself, and if you can't see that I just sort of feel sorry for you.
He paused for a moment, thinking silently. There were a few things he needed to address, but he didn't want to take forever doing it. He finally settled on something, deciding it was most worth talking about.
Cody: Coalition of the Willing. That's what Franchise called us, and the more I think about it, the more I realize how right he is. We're two guys who are willing to stand up to people like AJ Donovan and JAGI and fight for what we believe in, whether others want to join us or not. We want to return integrity to TGW. The fans deserve better than what they've been getting, and I think everyone on the roster knows it, but they're not willing to come out and say it. I'm not going to hide from it. I am not afraid of AJ Donovan, I'm not afraid of JAGI. I'm not afraid of anyone. Maybe I'll take a few beatings standing up for what I think is right. And you know, that's OK with me. Because it's going to take more than a beating to shut me up.
He began to glare into the camera as he spoke, a bit of angry inflection accentuating his words.
Cody: Donovan spent a lot of time bragging about how he didn't tap to the Cobra Clutch, but he failed to mention the fact that I kicked out of his Faceplant. His perception of reality is pretty skewed, I have to say. Frankly, it doesn't matter. He can talk all he wants, but it won't change the fact that I'm the bigger man. AJ Donovan is, quite simply, a coward. He's too afraid of failure to earn his way to the top, so he does what he can to get there without working for it. The truth of the matter is, that belt won't be his for long, because there are many people on the roster who are hands down better than him, on the mic and in the ring, and it isn't going to take long for someone to knock him down. And trust me, when someone as patently talentless as AJ Donovan loses his spot, it's going to be next to impossible for him to get it back legitimately. But don't worry, Donovan! I'm sure I'll make a good champion. As would AJ Adams, or Russel Franchise. Or pretty much anyone, really. The only person who is happy with you as champ is you. You may think people dislike you because you're better, but the truth is people dislike you because you're a pompous asshole. Before I go enjoy the rest of my night, there's one more thing I'd like to say. You need to be really careful how you treat people when you're at the top, because at this point there's not going to be anybody to catch you when you fall down. And trust me. You will fall down. One fluke win doesn't mean anything, and everyone knows it. You have some good qualities. You're confident, and you know what you're good at. In that respect, we're a lot alike But those things don't matter if you're too conceited to see your flaws. I hope for your own sake you wake up soon, before I promise you, your fall from grace is not going to be pretty.
Just as he finished there was a knock on the door. All of the seriousness vanished from his face as he stood up, laughing to himself and opening the door.
Rebecca: Hey, I was going to head out. Just thought I'd say goodbye.
Cody: Alright. I'll keep you company if you want and jog back here from your place. Maybe after you invite me in for coffee.
He followed his statement by giving a very obvious thumbs up to the camera, followed by an exaggerated wink and a painfully goofy facial expression. which got quite a laugh from Rebecca.
Rebecca: Cody! I'm married!
The two of them had another laugh about it and walked out of the room, although their voices could still be heard from down the hall.
Rebecca: If you don't mind, though, I could use the company. Jason might be in one of his moods again...
