Welcome everyone to yet another TGW Animosity. I am Stan Brooks and I'm ringside next to the announcers, Todd Evans and Scott Parker. We are just one week away from Retribution that will take place live in Detroit, Michigan. It will be the first show outside of the Goggle Arena for TGW and everyone is very excited. News via Wade Mason's twitter is that he has decided who will face off against AJ Adams for the TGW Title and promises some shock involved. Tonight's main event will be the Blacklist taking on Shane Magnus, Jordan Albrecht, and TGW Champion AJ Adams. Also, the newcomer Q takes on Volitionary Champion Russell Franchise in a non title bout. Tonight promises to back a lot of punch right before the Pay-Per-View.
The cameras are heading backstage as the video is show on the big screen. David Blazenwing is shown rounding a corner, his bags in hand. Obviously, he's just arrived at the arena. Suddenly, he stops cold.
DB: You.
The camera pans back, revealing Shane Magnus, leaning against the wall, a smarmy grin on his face.
SM: Yes, me David. I was hoping to run into you.
Blazenwing grunts, a sneer crossing his face.
DB: Why, you running low on things to brag about tonight? 'Oh, and five minutes ago, I ran into David Blazenwing. I reminded him that he just couldn't beat the system!' Listen kid, I'm not in the mood for any 'I told you so' speeches tonight. I've got serious work to do, and unfortunately, it doesn't involve sticking my foot down your throat.
SM: Oh, like last week?
DB: Har. Don't think one victory over a ring legend like me makes you somebody, kid. You've got a long way to go before you're as great as you want to be.
SM: You really don't get it, do you, Blazenwing? Last week was supposed to mean something. Something besides who won and who lost.
Blazenwing pushes past the younger man, speaking over his shoulder as he departs.
DB: Yeah, I'm sure your story is touching in all the appropriate ways, kid, but some of us actually have to EARN main event matches, so I'll be seein' ya.
Magnus looks at Blazenwing as he walks away, slowly shaking his head, and looking troubled.
Back to the stage the fans have all rose to their feet in cheers as Wade Mason has stepped onto the stage as “Stay Alive” by Trapt was playing. He seems a little under the weather and you can tell it in his voice as he starts to speak.
Wade: Many of you follow know why I'm out here, you've been reading my twitter page. The others that aren't in the internet loop should know that I have decided who is going to face AJ Adams for the TGW Title next week when we are live in Detroit. Next week is Retribution and with it being are first show “away from home”, we need something big. Something that is going to show off some great talent, respected stars, and something that has the possibility to be match of the year. I've found that exact match. Many are expecting me to name Jack Darling the number one contender for the title -
The fans begin to boo at the mention of Darling's name.
Wade: But those people would be wrong. When I started this company I said that anyone can make it to the top if they keep trying. It's not always about winning and losing, but it's about showing that you have the desire. Since August 1st, there has been one man that has shown me that he has desire. Over the past few weeks a build up of a possible Russell Franchise and David Blazenwing match has been going on. The fans have wanted it, both men have wanted it, now it's time to deliver, but with a twist.
Mason has to clear his throat and lets the fans sit on it, building anticipation.
Wade: Russell Franchise and David Blazenwing are going to face off at Retribution, but they also will be going up against the TGW Champion, AJ Adams.
The fans roar at the announcement of the match, but it's clear that Mason isn't done.
Wade: They won't just be contending in one match, but two falls. Franchise wants to defend his title and Blazenwing wants a shot at him, therefore the first fall will be contested under Volitionary Title match rules and will be for the TGW Volitionary Title! After that fall, there will be a 30 second roll off and the second part of the match will start...and will be for the TGW Championship!
The fans have just exploded at the big match announcement. Not only are we getting the build up of Franchise and Blazenwing, but are tossing AJ Adams in to the mix. Both men are deserving of a shot at the champ as both have been on the roster longer than anyone. Blazenwing may not have a steady win streak like Franchise but can still impress. It's his time to prove that he came here for business. Franchise's first title defense is going to be a tough one as he tries to show that he is more able to run at the top. A big question sits in, what if AJ Adams is able to capture both titles? I know I can't wait for the show next week!
With that announcement it's time for our first match. One of this weeks newest faces is out first, Orange Crush. This guy is 100 percent business as he's standing in the middle of the ring staring down the referee and just slightly loosening up his shoulders. As David Blazenwing hits the stage, Crush's attention turns to him. Blazenwing has a smile on his face after hearing the news for next week as he heads to the ring. Blazenwing slides in and Crush is right on top of him, kicking away. The bells sounds and we are off!
Crush lands a few blows and then pulls Blazenwing to his feet, then tosses him into the corner. He starts to land a few hard chops to the chest of Blazenwing but only lands 3 or 4. Crush is hit with an eye rake that temporarily makes him reach for his eyes. Blazenwing comes out like a house of fire and lands a few chops of his own before connecting with a hard kick to the gut. Blazenwing is off the ropes and lands a float-over neckbreaker on Crush. DBlaze pops back up and pulls Crush with him, following it up with a stalling suplex. The 6 time World Champion is taking the offense to Crush with a few mounted punches.
Blazenwing jumps to his feet when the referee tells him to watch the closed fists and points to the crowd and shrugs, blowing them off. Crush slowly gets to his feet and walks right into a spear from Blazenwing! Crush is leveled and Blazenwing lands a jumping elbow drop right to the sternum of Crush. Blazenwing rolls to his feet as Crush is slow to stand, this time hitting a clothesline on DB as he charges. The new comers laughs and starts to pull DBlaze to his feet. Crush hits a few elbows to the side of the head of Blazenwing that send him staggering. Crush looks for a spinning backhand, the “Keep the pimp hand strong” but Blazenwing ducks it. FULL EFFECT OUT OF NOWHERE! The kick just leveled Crush as he falls and DB covers!
1...2...3!
Winner:David Blazenwing
That is the kind of momentum that Blazenwing needs heading into Retribution. The following match is a double debut and the fans are ready.
Starr and de Vine are set to lock up in the middle of the ring. de Vine clearly has the strength Starr clearly had the speed. Starr ducked a few attempts at a clothesline by de Vine and landed a eye rake. She began to use her feet to land kicks to de Vine to bring him to a knee.
After the match continued back and forth for a few minutes, de Vine seemed to have the match in hand. He charged for an attempt at a spear but Starr moved, sending him shoulder first into the turnbucke. Starr rolled him up with a schoolboy cradle pin for the win.
Winner: Alyson Starr
We head backstage on the video screen and a loud commotion is heard as Shane Magnus is seen walking backstage. He quickens his step and rushes toward the calamity. Several TGW staffers are watching some sort of altercation from a safe distance. Around an abbreviated corner, Magnus sees two women stomping on a male some distance down the hallway. Magnus doesn't hesitate before running the distance to where it is now obvious that the females are none other than Blacklist members Reina Morgan and Teresa Quaranta, and they are stomping on a downed David Blazenwing. Reina Morgan notices Magnus approaching, and gets clear in time. Quaranta, however, is not so fortunate. Magnus grabs her by the hair just as she's laying a final stomp into Blazenwing's ribs, and spins her around to face him. Quaranta immediately tries to punch Magnus in the face, but Magnus blocks the punch, and backhands the Blacklist member across the mouth.
The impact staggers Quaranta momentarily, but she rights herself quickly. Morgan moves as if to attack Magnus, but Quaranta holds her back. She laughs heartily at the look of outrage on Magnus' face, glances down at Blazenwing, who is attempting to get to his feet, and smiles luridly. Taking one last brief glance at Magnus, she murmurs "Careful who you hit, boy." She and Morgan then walk away, just as Blazenwing gets to his feet. Magnus looks at him, checking to see how badly he's hurt, if at all.
Magnus: Let me guess, Dave...you had that under control, right?
Blazenwing rubs the back of his head, giving Magnus a bewildered look.
DB: Did that in any way LOOK under control? What are you, remedial?
Magnus sticks a finger in Blazenwing's chest.
SM: I could have left you, Dave. You would have.
DB: You're right. But...eh, thanks, I guess. Stop touching me. Don't wanna sprout wood on world wide TV, do you?
SM: Spare me your toilet humor, hey? This kind of thing is what they're going to do to anyone they think they can get away with it on. They're pack animals, Dave. They work in numbers.
DB: So, this is what you mean in that craptacular promo you cut this week?
SM: Pfft. Yeah. This is exactly it. The Blacklist aren't benign, hey? They aren't playing around, or trying to sell some merchandise with a spiffy logo on it to make an extra buck.
DB: So, say you're right. What of it? I've been just fine by myself so far, Magnus.
SM: Fine by me. Just remember, Blazenwing....we live together, or die alone.
With that, Magnus turns and walks away, Blazenwing still smarting from the effects of The Blacklist's attack.
Up next was Franchise taking on the new comer, Q. Franchise looks to gain as much momentum going into his big match as he can.
Both men sort of stare at each other at first, Franchise look is one of focused intensity and Q's is barely contained boredom. But then Q finally opens with a rabbit punch to the head, then another, then another - Q grabs Franchise by the arm and shoots him into the ropes. Out goes Q's arm on the clothesline attempt, but Franchise impressively manages to duck under it. One more time into the ropes, and now Franchise comes in with a wicked Big Boot to the face!
Q's down and holding his sore jaw, and Franchise puts the boots to him. As Q's working his way up, Franchise's hitting some massive shots to the back and shoulder blades. Finally he pulls Q up, and he sends him into the ropes - Franchise lifts his leg for the boot ne more time, but Q slides behind the Volitionary Champion, pops up to his feet and drills him with a spinning lariat. Franchise slowly rises and returns fire with a lariat of his own that flips Q over in mid-air, and it looks bad. Franchise gets down beside him and goes for the lateral press. A two-count is all that's achieved, as Q kicks out. Franchise's up and drops an elbow right to the heart of the newcomer. Then he's up again, and he drops yet another mean elbow. Q rolls across the canvas, clutching his chest and Franchise jumps in the air, doing big come on, come on motions.
Finally he slides in the ring and goes after him - right before they can make contact, Q rakes his eyes, and while the fans might not like it, this is a No-DQ match and all of that is pefectly legal. The two of them scramble under the ring and reach for weapons, Q comes out with a bat and Franchise comes out with a Kendo stick - the weapons clash and Q gets the better of it.
Q then picks him back up and throws him to the outside. and stacks the two tables on top of each other. He throws Kavana on the anouncers table and climbs on it. There's a long setup here, but eventually the powerbomb happens - Q follows up with a elbow drop to the chest.Limping, Q grabs Franchise by the head and drags him to the guard rail, hitting a sloppy looking but highly effective spinebuster that leaves Franchise clutching his back in pain.
Q pulls him up and throws a back elbow that nails the big man in the face. Q turns himself around, then throws a roundhouse kick and Franchise is staggering - Q doesn't waste time, hammering at him with right hands and hearding him back to the ring.
Q grabs the arm, and he launches Franchise inside the ring, then picks him up again and throws him across the ring to the opposite corner. Franchise hits the buckles with his back, and Q's coming in after him. Up in the air goes Mr. Q, then down comes Mr. Q - a high impact splash in the corner! He unties the turnbuckle and throws Franchise in there head first, busting him open. Q grabs the top rope, springs up, and hits a one legged missle dropkick to the back of the 'A Game's head. Cover - just gets two.
Still, Franchise is rolling over, clutching his head and looking hurt as hell. Q rolls him through the ropes and drops down to the floor. He grabs Franchise, pulling him up to his feet, and rushes forward, ramming Franchise's spine into the steel ring post! Q finally rolls him upder and makes a cover that only gets two.
He brings Franchise up to his feet, and lifts him into position for the atomic drop. The fans start making some noise, because whether they like it or not, it looks like Franchise is in big trouble. Q locks his hands around the midsection and then brings Franchise into the air ... and Franchise snaps back with a back elbow! Franchise bounces off the ropes, and we've seen this before - GAME Changer clothesline! Franchise circles the downed opponent as the crowd gets louder, lifts Q onto his shoulders for the Franchise Tag - and Q rolls out, hitting a soccer-esque supercharged football punt to the nads of the Volitionary Champion. Cover!
TWO!
Franchise starts to rise to his feet and Q is standing right behind him and hits him with the Sensory Deprivation! Q stands over Franchise and just shrugs his shoulders and walks out of the ring. The referee starts the count out and Q is behind the curtain, seemingly bored with the match.
Winner:Russell Franchise
As Franchise made his way to the back it was time for the main event. The feed on TrueGlory.com has been cut due to technical difficulties so the recap is as follows. The Blacklist made its way to the ring and awaited their opponents. The 3 faces came out together under Adams' entrance and hit the ring. The referee could not get control of the match as the 6 battled. Albrecht and Morgan exchanged blows as Adams and Darling went punch for punch. Outside of the ring, Mangus and Quaranta had spilled out near the announce table and were exchanging forearms.
Morgan gained the upper hand on Albrecht with her quickness with a few kicks and then landed a dropkick that sent him flying out of the ring. Morgan went after him and they battled near the ramp. Inside the ring, Adams and Darling were going punch for punch until Adams grabbed the arm of Darling and locked in a sleeper, followed by the Sleeper Slam. Quaranta and Magnus battled back into the ring as the referee tried to get control of the match. Albrecht was tossed into the ring, where he jumped to his feet and hit a running bulldog on Quaranta.
Magnus landed a right hand on Darling as Morgan hit Adams with a sidekick. Morgan then tried to dropkick Magnus but he side stepped her, but walked right into Philly Spike from Darling! Morgan popped back to her feet right into a German suplex from Adams. Albrecht was attempting a Fearless Intent on Quaranta, but she was able to roll out of it. She then hits him with the Devils Advocate.
Adams is up and turned around, jumps up and hits the Last Call on Quaranta! He turns and walks right into a buzzsaw kick from Morgan! Albrecht is slowly climbing to his feet and Darling is waiting with the Death Via Darling II and the cover.
Winners: The Blacklist
All three members of Blacklist are to their feet and ready to continue the assault. On the big screen, a 'Manifest Destiny' symbol pops up with the words, “I'm coming for you” appears. Darling seems pissed off and it gives enough time for the faces to get to their feet. Adams sends Quaranta up and over the top ropes and Darling and Morgan roll out of the ring. Adams holds his title high and points to the Blacklist as Magnus and Albrecht join him by his side.
