Full Name: Wade Alexander Mason
Hometown: San Diego, California
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 160lbs
Entrance Music: "Stay Alive" by Trapt
Attire: Always seen wearing a suit when in the arena. Outside of work, unless at a meeting, is just a normal shirt and jeans guy.
Biography: Wade was born on October 19th, 1965 to his parents, Julia and William. He has two brothers, Josh (46) and Ryan (41), and a sister Kristal (39).
Wade was always seen as the level headed one of the Mason boys, always getting in the middle and putting an end to most of the fights. This isn't to say that he didn't get in his fair share of tuffles from time to time, especially with his other brothers. The Mason family was your typical American family, middle class and hard working.
At the age of 19, Wade was accepted into UCLA where he would pursuit a major in business and minor in communications. That year, he would also marry his high school sweet heart Lisa. Shortly after that they would welcome their daughter into the world. A few short months before he was set to finish up school and receive his degree, his parents were involved in a head on collision with a drunk driver. His mother died on the way to the hospital while his father suffered mild injuries.
After the accident, Wade took some time off of school to help his younger sister with the loss and made sure she finished her last few months of high school. Almost a year later, Wade returned to finish up his last few classes and graduated from UCLA at age 26.
After graduation, Wade took some time to travel and spent a lot of his time in the midwest part of the country, where Lisa's parents lived. After spending weeks in Indianapolis, Indiana...Wade ran into someone that would change his life forever. This persons name was Jacob Hall and he had just opened up a new wrestling company called WorldWide Wrestling. Wade had watched wrestling with his brothers growing up so he went to check out what it was all about.
Needless to say, a few months later, Wade was traveling around with the company as a wrestler and loving it. He had moderate success as a tag team competitor, winning the companies Tag Titles twice. He then moved onto the singles roster winning their United States title. After only a few defenses, Wade suffered a major setback by tearing his MCL. He pushed himself to get back into the ring and returned the the ring in little under a year. At almost 30, he knew that this would not be something he could do forever and began to gain interviews using his business degree.
The night after his 30th birthday, Wade was set to compete in a match for the Tag Titles again. That night, Wade came off the ropes and tweeked his knee yet again and fell to the mat in a heap of pain. He had dislocated his knee cap and suffered some small damage to it. The doctor told him that if he kept pushing he would could end up in a walker or a wheelchair.
After Wade hung up his boots he entered the business world working for an insurance company and quickly rose up in the company. Around a year after leaving the wrestling world, his wife filed for divorce claiming that she was no longer happy with the relationship. Wade and Lisa split on good terms and shared custody of their daughter. Fast forward 10 years, Wade opened up his own wrestling training facility on the side.
In November of 2008, Wade contacted a friend he had met in the wrestling world in efforts to find a partner to run a wrestling company. They politely declined but offered to hold a share in the company and invest money into it. Now, it's August of 2009 and True Glory Wrestling is born. Wade envisions a wrestling company that is full of competition, great matches, and will turn heads.
