Welcome to Animosity 15! I am you host, Stan Brooks, and from what I hear backstage tonight is going to be explosive. Rumor has it that the new TGW Creative Director, Michael Echkhard, is in the house and will address the number one contender, the titles, and their plan. Also, Wade Mason is apparently here to address a challenge to Russell Franchise. Franchise has been absent from TGW ever since the restart and many are wondering his status in the company. All this and more is set to come tonight! Let's get things started with our first match!
Magnum Vs. The Bronx
The two large men stepped slowly to the center of the ring, each man taunting one another at first before it esculated to a shoving contest. Bronx obtained the upper hand when he pushed Magnum back so hard he stumbled back into the ropes, which was quickly followed up with a hard lariat which sent him up and over the top to the mats outside the ring. Bronx was quick to follow up, jumping through the ropes and stomping Magnum while he was down. Bronx's following were chucking items toward him as the two men fought on the outside, but he was aware of the ref's watchful eye counting down.
Bronx broke the count a few times, and did his best to keep the match on the outside, but was stopped when Magnum caught a surge of energy and landed a hard blow to Bronx's midsection after rolling back out of the ring. It seemed to knock the wind out of Bronx and that was all Magnum needed to secure the upper hand. Magnum rolled him back into the ring, and quickly followed - not giving him the opportunity to regain composure. Magnum forced Bronx to his feet and whipped him into the ropes with all his might, and used the inertia to land a devastating 180 spinebuster which shook the entire ring. Knowing it wouldn't be enough to beat Bronx, Magnum quickly leaped to his feet and then directly back down with a straight elbow drop to the sternum. Using his top position, Magnum locked Bronx in a tight sleeper hold, hoping to wear down his opponent.
Bronx was able to fend off the tight choke hold, and almost regain control of the match with a few solid elbows to Magnum's chest. Thinking fast though, Magnum took the chance and pushed Bronx away from him and waited for him to turn around before landing a hard yakuza kick followed by a fisherman suplex. Magnum attempted to hold the suplex for a pin, but Bronx was able to kick out before the three count.
Magnum seemed upset that he didn't score the pinfall but started to rally the crowd behind him. Bronx climbed to his feet, trying to shake the cobwebs off from the kick he received. Magnum swung a clothesline at Bronx, only to catch nothing but air as his opponent ducked. Bronx looks for the Death of the Party [Spinning Temple Kick] but Magnum showed his awareness as well and ducked! Magnum with a kick to the gut, Michinoku Driver II! Magnum covers for the win!
Winner: Magnum [Pinfall]
In a back and forth match, Magnum is able to come out on top. Even in his loss last week he looked pretty good and this week was able to bounce back really well from it.
We cut backstage to see TGW's Creative Director, Michael Echkhard, for the first time. He lounges against a few boxes, checking his blackberry. He stops Kirsten Shelley and tells her to find French Montana and to make sure he is watching the ring.
Aquilla Vs. Kadence Ayres
Last week Aquilla looked every bit of a breakout star that many think he could be for TGW, but suffered a loss at the hands of Natasha Molotov. This week he looks to battle back from his loss against the new comer, Kadence Ayres. Both competitors match their way to the ring to a few cheers.
Ayres and Aquilla circle each other in the ring, Ayres turns to play to the crowd and Aquilla does not look happy. I noticed it when he made his way to the ring. Upset about last week? As Ayres turns, Aquilla attacks her from behind. Tossing her into the turnbuckle and as she staggers back to the center of the ring, Aquilla lands a Flight of the Eagle [Graveyard Smash] to the boos of the fans! He sits over his downed opponent and yells at the ref to ring the bell and start the match. I guess we are off.
Aquilla laughs and plays the crowd with a smile. The fans aren't sure what to think as he points to Ayres. Wait a minute, someone just jumped the barricade around the ring. Make that 3 men have now slide into the ring. Those look like the Kegans that are set to debut tonight. The oldest of the 3, THE Kegan pushes Aquilla around a little bit as Bull comes running off the ropes and hits the Keganator [High Impact Gore]! He jumps to his feet as Aquilla grabs his ribs. Ayres has slide out of the ring and the referee is calling the match!
Winner: Aquilla [DQ]
The fans are booing the Keganation as they begin to kick and stomp on Aquilla. The Kegan had left the ring only to return with a guitar that was skillfully placed under the ring. Rush Kegan is on the top rope and dives, connecting the Kegan Klassic [450 Splash]! Bull lifts Aquilla to his feet, Rush and Bull each hold him up by an arm as The Kegan blasts him with the guitar! Aquilla falls to the mat as the Kegans all leave to the back.
Backstage Wade Mason is seen walking towards the ring, cutting off Michael Echkhard.
Mason: Echkhard, I don't know what you have planned or what your boss is thinking, -but you know who around here really deserves a title shot. Just keep that in mind.
Echkhard: OUR boss will always do what is best for this company.
Echkhard turns and starts to head to the ring. He'll be here after this match!
Fruit Basket Vs. Alyson Starr
The bell sounds and the match starts off at a quick pace. Fruit Basket lands a couple arm drags to start the match off. Fruit Basket throws Alyson Starr into the corner and charges after her immediately. Starr raises her foot and connects with Fruit Basket's face. Fruit Basket falls to one knee and Alyson Starr takes advantage of the opportunity. Alyson Starr pulls Fruit Basket by the hair and slams her face into the canvas. Starr leaps to the top rope and lands a flying elbow drop. A pin attempt follows but Fruit Basket kicks out after a count of one and a half. Starr allows Fruit Basket to climb to her feet before nailing her with a running forearm. Fruit Basket falls through the ropes and to the outside. Alyson Starr follows her and gets a handful of her hair. She slams her into the guard rail and continues the attack with punches and kicks, meanwhile the referee stands in the ring counting.
The match makes its way back into the ring and Fruit Basket has the upper hand. Fruit Basket send Alyson Starr into the ropes via the Irish whip. Starr returns and Fruit Basket connects with a enziguri. Starr falls to the canvas and Fruit Basket makes a pin attempt but only gets a two count. Starr fights to her feet and the two women get into a fist fight. Alyson Starr drives a knee into the midsection of Fruit Basket and then Fruit Basket gets planted via a reverse ddt. Alyson Starr makes a cover and Fruit Basket kicks out after two. Alyson Starr mounts Fruit Basket and pummels her with punches. Fruit Basket grabs the bottom rope and the referee forces Alyson Starr to stop the attack. Both women climb to their feet and stare each other down.
After a long stare down and back and forth attacks Fruit Basket has the upper hand once again. Alyson Starr climbs to her feet and Fruit Basket charges at her. Starr executes a drop toe hold and hopes to her feet quickly and applies a cobra clutch. The referee checks for a tap out but Fruit Basket refuses. Time passes and Fruit Basket finally make sit to the ropes. The referee counts to five before forcing Alyson Starr to release her clutch. Alyson Starr turns to ref and begins to argue. Starr threatens the ref and the ref gets back in her face. The two battle with words back and forth while Fruit Basket gets some recovery time. Fruit Basket climbs to her feet as Starr turns around and both women nail each other with a double clothesline.
Both women are down! The referee starts the count out, reaching 7 before Fruit Basket is up first. Starr is soon to follow. Fruit Basket calls for the Banana Slamma [Cradle Spike DDT] but is hit with the Seeing Starrs [Spinning Wheel Kick] by Starr! She covers and gets the 3!
In a very tight match Starr picks up her return victory. Starr helps Fruit Basket to her feet and the two competitors shake hands to the delight of the fans as they head to the back.
As the two women pass through the curtain to the backstage area, Michael Echkhard comes out to the stage. The fans change from cheers to a mixture of confusion. Not sure of what to think about one of the new powers in charge of TGW.
Echkhard: I'm going to keep this simple and straight to the point because there is plenty of action left tonight. Many are wondering what is the status of the company, the titles, what power do I have, am I the new owner, and so on and so forth.
No, I am not the new owner. Do I know the owner personally? No. I did not meet them until they called me and explained the job. What power do I have? I will make decisions, the same ones that our new owner would make, and make sure they are enforced. Now, are far as the title situation here in TGW more will be out in the next couple weeks. There are some rumors as to why nothing has been done with the titles. One being the possibility of another singles title or even a tag team title. Let me say that part of that is true. We have been considering all options when it comes to new and exciting action, even if that includes bringing in new titles. And finally the reason everyone wanted me here this week.
French Montana. You are the number one contender for the TGW Title, you earned that right. Now it's the matter of finding you a suitable opponent. We will not have another Teresa incident. Corrupted Dreams will come to you live on Pay Per View on February 22nd, from Miami. TGW WILL have a champion by the end of that show. Over the next few weeks everyone will be watched, closely, and two that stand out will be given a shot to compete for the other TGW title shot. The same will go for the Volitionary Title. So remember, we're watching.
Echkhard smiles and waves to the fans amidst some cheers for the announcements as he heads backstage.
Backstage we see the 3 Kegan brothers as the fans give them a mixed reaction, their match up next. TGW Interviewer, Kirsten Shelley stops them.
Shelley: If I can, why the attack on Aquilla tonight?
The Kegan: Allow me. Why Aquilla? Why not? We wanted to show everyone watching that we are the Keganation and we will take out anyone we feel like it. We came here with a purpose, to win. That starts tonight.
Bull Kegan laughs as Rush pushes the camera out of the way, the men coming out, next!
The Kegans [The Kegan/Bull Kegan] Vs. David Cage/Travis Lynd
Rush accompanies his brothers to the ring as his match will start after this one is done. Bull will start the match against David Cage, who is making his in-ring return to TGW after a leave of absence. Cage and Bull lock up and start a shoving match. Cage ducks a right hook and lands a few quick jabs. Cage follows it up with a headbutt, making both men stumble. Cage charges for a clothesline, but Bull connects with a spinning powerslam. Bull tags out and The Kegan makes his way in.
Cage starts to rise and is hit with a high knee to the face from The Kegan. He locks up with a headlock and rakes the eyes of Cage, with their backs turned to the referee. A few of the fans caught it and start to boo. Cage lifts The Kegan and hits a backdrop, giving him a chance to breathe. Cage rolls and tags out to Lynd, making his first TGW appearance.
Lynd storms the ring with a lot of fire but is dropped with big sidewalk slam from The Kegan. Bull reaches for the tag and gets into the ring, locking up with Lynd. Lynd tries to land a few shots to the gut, followed with open hand slaps, but is quickly doubled over with a kick to the gut. Bull hits the ropes and flys with a jumping lariat on Lynd. The Kegan tags back in, the brothers staying fresh, and drops a knee onto the chest of Lynd. He drops a few more before lifting his opponent off the mat, and quickly lifting him up for a stalling suplex. Lynd hits the mat hard as Cage is dying to make the tag. Bull is tagged back in and you have this feeling of the worse.
Lynd is slow to his feet and turns around, right into a running big boot from Bull! Bull lifts Lynd up and connects with the BullBuster [Double Underhook Face Buster]. Rush is holding onto the ankles of Cage, not allowing him in the ring! Bull covers and it's over!
Winners: The Kegans (The Kegan/Bull Kegan) [Pinfall]
Cage kicks Rush off but it's too late. He shakes his head in discuss at Lynd and leaves for the back. The Kegan and Bull Kegan celebrate before grabbing a few chairs at ringside to watch Rush compete next.
Rush Kegan Vs. Trent Townsend
These two men are close in size and pretty similar in style, it'll come down who can get the fast start. Rush and Townsend lock up and exchange a few lefts and rights. Townsend blocks a kick to the gut and hits one of his own. Townsend hits a thumb to the eyes of Rush and the referee does not approve. Townsend is able to hit a body slam and immediately drops a leg across the chest of Rush. The fans are going back and forth as who to root for as Townsend pulls Rush to this feet.
Kegan locks up with his opponent and hits a few knees to the midsection, followed with a back elbow, flowing into a standing dropkick. The action is face paced and back and forth. Both men to their feet, with back and forth lefts and rights. Kegan ducks a hard clothesline try, Townsend is getting frustrated out there. Kegan gets dropped with a dropkick and rolls out of the ring. Rush walks around the ring and stops to steal a beer of a fan ringside. He chugs it down before grabbing someone else's. Rush slides into the ring and tosses the beer into the face of Townsend! Townsend swings wildly and walks right into the Yellow Brick Road [Swinging Neckbreaker]!
Rush covers but only gets 2! Townsend is to his feet, wiping his eyes. Rush charges, looking for a spear, but Townsend moves sending his opponent off the ropes. Townsend hits a spinning elbow that staggers Kegan back. Townsend locks up but is hit with a rake to the eyes but the referee doesn't see it. Rush with an Impaler DDT! Cover, and the win!
Winner: Rush Kegan [Pinfall]
The other two Kegan brothers enter the ring to celebrate a sweep of their matches. You would have to assume that they are in at least consideration for some sort of match to prove themselves after dominate performances tonight.
Tonight, French Montana learned that he is in fact the number one contender for the TGW Title. Next week he will be appearing in the CWC Tournament representing TGW. Tonight however he faces Natasha Molotov and Jack Goddard. Molotov seems to have a few good work ethic after her win last week against Aquilla, a man that looked to be the future of TGW.
Next week we continue the search for TGW top talent with 5 new faces making debuts. 4 of which will face off in an elimination style match. Also, I've learned that all 3 Kegans will in fact be in singles action.
The camera pans around the backstage area, giving the crowd a view of what goes on behind the scenes. Employees are rushing around making things are getting done, superstars are preparing for their matches.... And in the distance, it sounds like someone is loosening their vocal cords.
It's hard to make out the voice, but it's obviously female. You can tell it's far away, but the fact that it can be heard over everything else going on in the back gives you an idea of the decibel level.
The camera begins to head down the hallway towards the screaming. It continues to grow louder and more obnoxious, but the voice is still unrecognizable.
Abruptly, Natasha Molotov comes storming out of a locker room - nearly knocking the camera man over. Her demeanor changes almost instantly when she realizes that the camera is rolling.
Natasha Molotov: Oh my god, are you okay?
Her voice was flat and uncaring. It took a second to sink in.
Natasha Molotov: I mean, ahem.. Seriously, I didn't hurt you right? I didn't even see you there.
The camera man got up silently, and apparently nodded.
Natasha Molotov: You should be more careful back here, sometimes we're in a rush ya know. Uhm. Uh..
Natasha has her cell phone in her hand, and it was almost like she was trying to hide it. It was unnoticeable at first, but she seems pretty antsy.
Natasha Molotov:Give me one second.
Breaking the first rule of showbiz, Natasha turned her back to a rolling camera and put her phone to her ear. Her voice was low and it was hard to catch anything but bits and pieces of the conversation. It didn't sound pleasant though.
A moment later, she turned back to the camera smiling.
Natasha Molotov: Sorry about that... Uh. Business to attend to. Nothing as important as this match coming up though!
She induced a mild cheer from the crowd.
Natasha Molotov: I've been thinking about this match for the past couple days, and I can't be anymore ready than I am now. If I don't pull through for all you guys, it just wasn't meant to be. I have a feeling that tonight is my night though, and I'll be putting it all out there just like I always have. I want you guys to believe me when I tell you that this is all for you. Each and everyone of you who have had my back through the hard times. I can't think you guys enough.
Natasha paused for a moment, seemingly regaining composure.
Natasha Molotov: French Montana and Jack Gooddard, two worthy opponents. I won't be taking anything away from them here, I'll save that for the ring. But it's important to understand that I have put a lot of thought into this and....
Just then her cell phone rang again, she forgot to put it on vibrate or silent. Her face turned as red as her hair with embarrassment.
Natasha Molotov: I can't do this right now.
She dropped her head and jogged passed the camera trying to get away from it as quickly as possible.
The crowds reaction seemed to be one of confusion more than hostility or anger.
Natasha Molotov Vs. Jack Goddard Vs. French Montana
The match starts with Molotov and Goddard locking up as Montana sits by watching. Goddard lands a few forearms and a quick jab to try and knock Molotov off her guard. She backs up and Goddard looks for an uppercut but gets nothing but air. Molotov lands a swift kick to the shins of Goddard, followed by a knee to the gut. Montana steps in and hits a kick on Molotov, and connects with a bulldog on Goddard. The fans are loving the action in the ring.
Montana pops up and he and Molotov start to exchange blows. He sends her off the ropes and looks for a big clothesline, but Molotov rolls across the mat then jumps back to her feet. She hits a kick to the midsection and looks for a Russian Leg Sweep. Montana blocks it and hits a few elbows to the head of his opponent. Molotov staggers off and walks right into a backdrop from Goddard.
Montana and Goddard lock up and the Wild Card is doubled over with a hard knee, followed up with a powerbomb. Molotov is back up and comes flying off the top rope with a hurricanrana! She covers Montana but only gets 2. Goddard is back to his feet and looks for Dead Money [Killswitch] but Molotov pushes him away. He turns and walks right into a superkick! The fans are going crazy and Montana is back to his feet.
Montana goes for the Fix Your Face [Double Elbow] but Molotov is somehow able to duck the quick strike. She spins him around and looks for the Plan B by hitting a few elbows and knees, but Montana catches one of her legs. He spins her around and locks in the Cocaine Dream [Tazzmission]! Goddard is right there to break it up! Montana and Goddard start to battle back and forth, Goddard looking for a suplex but it's blocked. Montana hits a falling neckbreaker, ala Randy Orton. Montana rolls Goddard up and locks in the Cocaine Dream! It's all but over! Montana lays on his back, Goddard on top, no shoulders down. Goddard can't move!
Molotov is up top, she dives! COMRADE ZERO [Frog Splash]! Montana breaks the hold as all the weight came crashing down, Molotov rolls up Goddard and it's over!
Winner: Natasha Molotov [Pinfall (Comrade Zero on Jack Goddard)]
Molotov climbs to her feet using the ropes and is nothing but smiles. That's all the time we have folks! Come back next week as we get closer to finding out who will compete for the TGW titles!
