The scene opens to find the TGW Champion, Aaron Rupp, in his home gym throwing punches at a heavy bag. He’s dressed only in white and black TapouT shorts and has a pair of MMA gloves on his hands as he pounds the bag with them. The sounds of “Believe” by Disturbed are blasting from the sound system in the gym as Aaron lays into the bag, sweat pouring down his face and body. He ends his barrage with a hard roundhouse kick to the bag before slowly turning to face the camera, taking a minute to catch his breath. He stretches out his arms a bit as he begins.
“There are many people out there who have taken to criticizing me for my work here in TGW. They’ve been saying that the only reason I’ve been undefeated and became TGW Champion is because of the longest run of sheer dumb luck in history. Well, I can assure you that luck has nothing to do with it. The fact of the matter is, I’ve reached this point through working my ass off in this gym and focusing on all aspects of my game, by studying my opponents extensively to take note of their strengths and weaknesses, and by studying my own matches to see what mistakes I’ve made so I can learn what not to repeat. I’m dedicated to this business, and all the doubters out there can keep running their mouths about how Aaron Rupp is nothing more than a living, breathing fluke. I know that I got to where I am through hard work, determination, and pure heart. Most true wrestling fans will acknowledge that and know that I’m the real deal because of how much this business means to me. It is because of that same reason that I have taken it upon myself to trying to take out those who come into this business running on nothing more than pure ego. All ego does is destroy this business and everything that helped build the foundation to the sport we compete in today. It’s truly sad to see the kind of damage ego does to even the best of wrestling organizations…”
Rupp sighs and slowly shakes his head as he folds his arms across his chest.
“Last week on Animosity, I got a challenge out of Russell Francis and came away with the victory. Russell, I’m grateful that you came into that match and gave me one hell of a fight. If anything, the fact that you actually put up a fight proved to the smarks who have been criticizing me for the past few weeks that if I’m faced with a challenging opponent I am capable of fighting back. I’m sorry that you’re winning streak had to come to an end, but one of us had to fall and despite your loss, you passed the test I put forth. Congratulations on proving to me that the ego you once had hidden in your charisma died along with Russell Franchise. I look forward to getting a chance to wrestle you again in the future, but for now I must prepare for my next challenge in the form of a man who was also unbeaten until he came up against the Volitionary Champion Leo Hayden last Animosity. This man goes by the name of Lennon S. Daltrey, or better known by his initials of LSD.
…I know I could point out the ‘witty humor’ found with his name, but I’d prefer not to state the obvious here…
LSD is a man who often talks about ‘The Trip’ and how he ‘went down the rabbit hole’ and came back as the man he is today. Most people would see this in one of two lights: either Mr. Daltrey is actually on the drug his initials spell out, or he’s just mentally unstable and is trying to drag the rest of society into his delusional fantasy world. The thing is… I’m not like most people, and I hope LSD realizes this if he wants to find a way to leave Animosity this week as the man who put the first loss on my record. I know that his antics are all just one giant mind game to try and throw people off, and by underestimating him he can score an easy victory. The reason it didn’t work on Hayden last week is because that guy’s just far too messed up in the head to fall for the mind games of those around him. Sadly, it won’t work on me this week either because unlike just about everyone else, I can see right through the illusions. I’ve always said that my emerald eyes never lie, and that’s a true statement as far as this Animosity is concerned.”
A small smirk comes to Aaron’s lips. Others had tried to play mind games with him in the past, and a rare few had succeeded, but only because they knew what to do. LSD didn’t seem to have an idea of what to do, which was only going to lead to his downfall.
“One of LSD’s heroes, Hunter S. Thompson, once said ‘Fear is just another word for ignorance.’ LSD is expecting me to fear him sending me on ‘The Trip’ but will be surprised to find that I lack fear. See, I’m not afraid of anything. I know that may sound a little strange, but it’s like Thompson said… why should I fear something just because I don’t understand it? Sure, I may not fully understand your methods or what this ‘trip’ entails LSD, but that’s no reason for me to be afraid of it. Try as you might, you’re not going to scare or intimidate me with your usual antics. You want to beat me so damn bad? Then you’ll have to do it on skill alone. And considering how high you are on yourself, I’m curious to see if you have any true skill at all if we remove the smoke and mirrors from your act. You’ll probably say you will, but ultimately I’ll be the judge of that. I know you probably won’t understand it, but you’ll come to accept it.”
With that, Aaron turns back to the heavy bag and starts up again as the scene fades out.

(The scene opens with a fairground carousel style melody playing as a wurlizer spins and spins and spins into a blur... We see LSD standing in a bizarre fairground setting, we see men on stilts, bearded ladies and midgets cavorting and juggling fire... LSD is wearing a ringmaster style outfit made of leather and velvet...)
LSD: Roll Up... Roll Up...for the trip of a lifetime.... the main event... the extravaganza... the most spectacular spectacular... True Glory Wrestling and The NWA are proud to bring to you the most death defying, electrifying and stupendifying athlete the world has ever seen, performing feats never before seen in a ring of any descripton...
(Flames leap up from behind LSD as he cracks his whip towards camera, the thunderclap sound splits the air as the screen shifts and we see an effigy of Aaron Rupp on an alter being surrounded by the freaks who mock worship him... as LSD, now dressed in a cassock and flaming antlers leads a congregation of people wearing bizarre masks that distort their faces...)
LSD: He walks the wire.... he plays with fire.... he tames the lion and lifts the iron... He flies like an eagle and rules like an emperor regal... The man they call champion, the man who considers himself the ultimate sanction...
He claims to know all about trips... rather than opens his mind he flatters his lips....The man who claims to know us so well, may soon be hearing the losing bell... he claims to know our mirrors and smoke, yet does not realise the extent of the joke... The man who feels his right to reign is absolute will soon be seeing that feeling go right down the shoot... Let us pray...
(The congregation begin to tear at the effigy of Rupp, destroying it in an orgy of malevolent destruction... LSD looks on as the antlers burn to the last... he whips off the helmet and hurts it at the camera, which switches as the flames reach the camera...)
SILENCE
(LSD is now seen standing in the aftermath of some terrible destruction, rubble and fire burns all around and we see LSD wearing the uniform of a British Napoleonic soldier, bloodied, wounded yet standing on a sea of carnage...)
LSD: The man known as Ruppy will soon see battle... will it be as a man or despite his claims be as frightened as a little puppy... Will you face the challenge and make the enemy flee? or fail in fear of little old me?
You may feel that you know me, you may guess what I think... but that alone will not save you from the brink... your only hope of salvation is to embrace what you fear....leave all that you hold dear... Take the trip... let your soul rip... it won’t last long but you will come back strong... Leo chose poorly and lost in a win... now lets see if you will let me in...
(LSD walks towards the camera and directly breaks the 4th wall... he now stands in darkness surrounded by an eerie silence...)
LSD: Enough with the poems... Aaron, your time as the king here is over... the only one in need of acceptance is you... why justify your existence? Or mention “business” or talk like I am some kind of school project... Do I look like a frog you have to dissect? Or talk something you can learn about from a textbook?
No... I am like nothing you have ever faced before and I think you would do well to be a bit more respectful of something you don’t understand... it’s ok... you are scared, it’s natural to fear what you can’t grasp.... but we forgive you and we accept you... you know you will lose to me... we still accept you... your title will soon be mine...we will still accept you... and when I have it and you have taken your trip, I will take my new found glory to the NWA Battlecade and more will take that trip...
This little show of mine should show you that you will only ever see or know what I allow you to see.... you will never know anything I do not select for you to know... You understand my motives, my weakness... you will only grasp defeat at my hands and anything else is just clutching at straws..
Oh must tell you that Lucy and Alice are dying to meet you but again that will be my choice... I may be generous and offer you a night with my lovely ladies... again you have to commit to the trip but trust me, they are worth it... But make no mistake Aaron, TGW, NWA... LSD is not a gmmick, it is not a trick... I really have been to places you would never want to take your granny... but those taking the trip are growing each day.... they are becoming stronger, their minds open and free of fear... One loss? Piffle, I get by with a little help from my friends... but where are yours Aaron?
Who will you run to after your loss and your pride is destroyed? How will YOUR ego survive such a defeat? Can it survive or will you be so distraught that you will “take the trip”... The skill part I will show in this match, believe me, I know how to beat you and I will take a lot of enjoyment in it... It’s times like this that I am so glad I chose this path...
(LSD turns his back and walks back through the scenes he just was in, like some kind of bizarre rewinding effect... while whistling his trademark eerie tune...)
LSD: Remember Aaron... nothing is as it seems, no one is as it appears and never will you understand.... you will be the one accepting... Fear or lack of it won’t help you... The revolution will be televised... toodle pip...
